Yes. Of course there are. But you seem to be unwilling to hold this movie up to the same scrutiny you apparently would others. That’s called being biased.
I think this statement effectively sums up your subjective opinion on the matter. The fantasy genre isn’t beholden to the confines of verisimilitude for some reason. You’ve already made up your mind that plot-holes can’t exist and so they don’t, regardless of what anyone might say.
There’s no such thing as the Prequels! . . . . . did it work? Did I will them out of existence by simply saying it? No? Damn :)

This is not a plot hole but a military decision. Maybe the wrong one in your eyes but not a bad one. The ship can’t escape and will run out of fuel. It will then be a siting duck. Why send fighters when you don’t have to? If you send fighters you may destroy the ship but at what cost? You will lose ships and men and you don’t have to. They are not getting away. They are dead in space unless someone comes to help. Let’s say you send in your fighters and you lose half. Then a fleet jumps in to save the rebels. You may then get your fleet destroyed. The FO doesn’t know no one is coming to help the resistance. They don’t know the resistance is alone and Hux is playing it safe. Kylo follows orders unlike Poe and returns to the main ship. This is a safe tactic to take especially after losing the dreadnaught. Could you imagine what Snoke would do to Hux if the fleet where destroyed because he wasn’t patient.

Someone said not telling Poe the full plan was a plot hole. This is not. Often times junior officer and troops have no idea what the overall plan is just there part. Not telling Poe was in line with what would happen in a real military unit. In fact Poe would not only have been removed from the bridge he would have been put in the brig for insubordination for the antics with Holdo. Poe needed to learn there are more options than just trying to blow the other guy up in order to save the day. Holdo should have been told Poe’s plan and should have supported it as an alternative to the evacuation.

I'll go along with this, now that you mention it. At the time i saw the movie, it seemed natural they would be talking to her, but based purely on what we have seen on screen, it is a bit odd they can even contact her - or she'd pick up the phone. It's also odd she seems to have a camera crew following her around in battle so they can see her, but that's neither here nor there.

Stuff like this is a very minor plot hole does not affect my enjoyment of the movie much over the 2+ hours. To get me all worked up about plot holes in a movie like star wars, they would have to have something like Qui-Gon show up in the flesh yelling "SIKE!!!!". I'm already suspending disbelief the minute the opening crawl comes up

All of those capital ships did have the tracking device they explained it in the film. Poe wanted to destroy the lead ship that had it but was told good thinking but it wouldn't work. If they destroyed the ship that had the tracker, another capital ship would pick up the tracking, hence why they needed to sneak on board and hack it on the lead ship.

Also those ship manufactures have different divisions, not all ships are going to have the same technology. Just like in real life F-117 Nighthawk and the F-22 Raptor. Both made my same manufacture are different animals and different technology. You honesly think the US version of the F-22 Raptor is going to be same as IDF or

That can be easily explained and doesn't require to spend hours on the internet to find the answer. That was a force projection, not really him. That means he can change his appearance. He's has brown hair instead of grey, wearing a black robe instead of a grey/white robe. If he can change his appearance, is changing the type of light saber any different? What's the best way to troll and anger your opponent? use the very thing that's he after but can't get. Hence why he using the blue lightsaber. It's a taunt to Kylo because he wanted that saber but can't have it. I literally figured that out when I saw the movie the first time. It became even more clearer the 2nd time I watched it.

Having a plot-hole doesn’t make your story bad. I suppose a lot of people have a hard time reconciling that. I, for instance, quite like the original Matrix movie. That plot doesn’t make much of any sense. Why would ‘superior’ machines bother constructing an elaborate dreamscape for their human batteries instead of just lobotomizing them all straight off? Because if they did, then there wouldn’t be a movie. It’s a major conceit you have to simply accept if you want to enjoy the story being told.

It’s a forgivable flaw. Star Wars has plenty of those. That’s not an indictment of their quality. It’s just a quirk you have to overlook if you want to go on that journey.

I have thought about this too. None of the plot holes mentioned here have any impact on my enjoyment of the movie, but i can't say that there definitely aren't any in the movie. As with many other good movies.

Not sure how long, SW has never given us the time frame when characters went from Point A to B. I propose this question, how long was Luke's training in ESB in relative to the other events going with Han and Leia? The movie doesn't tell us and the follow up movie doesn't tell us either.

R2 was never in the cave. He's been in the Falcon the whole time. Luke never saw R2 until he went to the Falcon.

I'm not sure what you mean about last point? Maybe they showed the hologram from a different angle? Not sure how that is a plot hole?

I think Luke used the Foxes to lead the resistance to the direction escape which allowed Rey to find the survivors. The Foxes actually remind me and provides a lot of similarities of the Loth Wolves from this Season of Rebels. The Loth Wolves help Ezra and his crew get out of danger a few times. Watch the series if you want to more in depth.

I repeated in my head: "Just follow the fraking foxes, people. Just follow the foxes. Just follow the foxes." Definitely referencing Rebels there. It was obvious to me when they're first in the base.

That was a cool moment though, when Poe realizes it's too quiet and Finn points it out.

This isn't a thread to debate my opinion of the film. No one has provided a real plot hole so far. The definition of the plot hole is explained in the post.

That's just the facts. If there's a plausible explanation then there isn't a plot hole. This is actually very simple.

Also, in particular when it comes to SW, there is flexibility with astrophysics, some technology, etc. If fans aren't willing to give some leeway there, then it's just going to limit storytelling to strict rules about Force powers (especially with Clone Wars & Rebels), creative ship battles (why do ships use cannons with cartridges/shells instead of turbolasers in the Battle of Coruscant), dogfights (why doesn't anybody use droid starfighters anymore), etc. Films shouldn't have to explain each and every Force ability or ship-to-ship combat strategies or military build-up strategies. We shouldn't demand all that exposition.

I honestly was thinking the Foxes was just there for the back ground. It wasn't until that lone fox was standing there showing where to go was the "there your Rebels call back." It hit even a stronger note the 2nd time when I saw that scene. Everyone wants to know how Rebels is tied in this movie, there you go!

I guess the Force made sure the foxes would be there? Maybe Luke did? Meh. Pretty sure simply saying “I’m gonna go stall these guys. Follow the foxes outta here” would have worked better. But I guess he needed to conserve his Force fuel - and it wouldn’t have been nearly as dramatic.
Yeah, I saw it. They guide them through (what’s maybe) the PLAAAANET COOOOOORE :D
Except you literally wrote “The point here there are not plot holes in this film. It's a fantasy film aimed at kids.” Kind of tipping your hand. What would that have to do with anything unless you were already giving it a pass?

Agreed. I've heard so much stuff like "Admiral Holdo not telling Poe the plan is a plothole."

Umm, no it's not. A character making a poor decision is not a plot hole. It's just realistically bad judgment. I don't understand how that's hard to comprehend.

Then there's stuff like "We see Rey on Snoke's ship, then all of a suddenly she's on the Falcon. PLOTHOLE!" Wrong again. The Falcon is a ship. It can fly. The Supremacy was in disarray. Rey's a lightsaber wielding badass. We can pretty safely assume Rey boarded the Falcon (and if she ran into any resistance, easily dispatched it- after all she just defeated Snoke's elite guard a few minutes before) without having to be handheld all the way to that conclusion.

Finally, there's stuff like "How did Holdo jump to hyperspace into the Supremacy if the ship was out of fuel?" I mean, we don't know how out of fuel it was. We know it was low, for sure, and probably didn't have enough to get to the next planet after Crait- but space is really big. It's possible she only needed to jump like 5 miles, which is absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Honestly, it's cringey how thirsty some people are to point out spoilers like this. Being an overly-analytic idiot doesn't make one a valued movie critic.
Anyway, it's a Star Wars movie. Just enjoy it, good grief!
