Really, you guys don't think Maul has the wherewithal to poke circumstances into bringing him in close proximity to Ezra? Sure, Ezra is probably wiser about Maul's true nature, but wouldn't Kanan's blindness leave him and Ezzy more desperate, and also more vulnerable to being manipulated? Ezra could be more vulnerable now to Dark side influence now if he thinks it can help his friends, especially Kanan? Ultimately, I still think Ezra is basically not a selfish person, and thus won't go hardcore darkside like Anikin did. I still reckon Maul will get his claws a little further into Ezzy though. Maulsy will find it hard to restrain his recklessness I think. And who can blame him for being a little excitable after hermiting at that Sith temple for so long. Also, that Sith holocron and Ezra will be pretty irresistible to him...

 

I definitely agree that Ezra is quite susceptible to the holocron's influence at this point and is desperate enough to seek its "forbidden" knowledge, but the way he's written off Maul by the end of the episode and the fact that it was Maul who blinded Kanan makes me doubt their next meeting would go rather amicably.

Sounds... foreboding. I'll most likely give it a read sometime next week; presently I'm in a bit of a tight schedule IRL but that'll be ending next Tuesday for sure. Right now, I basically have enough time to do a comic update on this forum; check out relevant news and little else.

 

I'm not sure Ezra will trust Maul, he has already tricked him in the temple. And the thing that leads Ezra to open the holocron is sadness and probably will of revenge..

 

I was more thinking of Ahsoka on that one but good point. The ghost crew is devastated at the end of the finale.

I would think that the loss of Ashoka would help them in all hoemsty but when it's revealed that she's aligned herself with Vader a la Assaj Ventrrss/Count Dooku it affects Ezra's will on Maul and his pull to take down everything in the universe until he is satisfied .

 

Maybe she becomes his apprentice to try to bring him back to the light...

Ooh, that vid makes me feel so sorry for the guy. He really keeps getting the sharp end of stick in life, huh. I hope he gets some decent wins in the future. Poor guy can't catch a break.

 

The only how i see maul surviving into new hope era, much less post rotj is if he goes beyond the outer rim. Which could give us some awesome backstory for the sequel trilogy but still feels unlikely.

My guess to the question at hand is, immediately, he's going to hide and Lick his wounds. In the future he will likely try to tempt ezra again.
