    8 is unlike any Star Wars film we have ever seen, its dark, its gritty, full of melancholy. I just wish we had more Sith running around in 8, ready to take Snoke's mantle, ready to dethrone the new Supreme Leader Ren. RJ gave us something different, something which some fans were clamoring for but ultimately rejected. Nonetheless, Its a beautiful film...

    honestly, it is a loaded question because they both have their fair share of shots but i really would pick neither because there were no unique...honestly, the most unique shots were pre-disney with the darth maul/climactic spaceship sequence, anakin's wedding, and the opening sequence/end saber duel in rots, as well as almost every shot in the OT...but to say the ST has some beautiful shots to look at...they seemed geared towards more generic blockbuster fare to me

    After finally watching TLJ on my TV I can say it looks absolutely gorgeous. The colours just pop from the screen. Also, it utilizes some really interesting camera angles. The best example is definitely the time when Rose, Finn and DJ approach the Supremacy from below, but it also has a cool overhead shot of Rose inside this tiny spaceship she and Finn flew to Canto Bight. Also, TLJ utilizes Vertigo effect and that autamatically makes it a better shot film than TFA. :p

    VII has fewer highlights than VIII but is more consistent in terms of quality overall. VIII has some amazing scenes but also a couple of really dull environments (spaceship interiors for 50% of the movie run time is boring). So overall I would say VII by a small margin.
