    According to Wookieepedia "Fulcrum" was....

so who do you think Fulcrum is?
Lando Calrissian? Billy Dee Williams confirmed he will be in the show as Lando.
Bail Organa? the Alderaanian sentor has already appeared and been helped by the Rebels.
Mace Windu? could Mace have survived the fall from Palpatine's office and started the rebel alliance?
Obi-Wan Kenobi or Yoda? masters Kenobi and Yoda could be giving them info from their exiles?
Someone else? let us know who you suspect is Fulcrum.

Fulcrum may be Hera's Uncle Cham Syndulla from TCW. He may also be in the upcoming novel Lords of the Sith, that takes place on Ryloth.
A part of the novel is in the 2014 Star Wars Sampler.

Maybe the young Princess Leia, using her Imperial Senate contacts to keep ahead of Imperial plans?

I think Leia had gotten started in politics at an early age like her mother.

That'd make her a lesser suspect, but an interesting revelation. She's very intelligent, canny, and no doubt quite nosy concerning her adopted father's secretive activities. She'll also share his moral outrage and want to make a difference, just like Ezra. She'll have doubtless visited Coruscant a few times and perhaps made intell contacts behind Bail's back. The Empire's eyes might fall on Bail, but less likely his young 'sweet' daughter...

AS much as I would like Leia, I would hope for a character from the Expanded Universe.... Cant say who I would want in that role though.

Oh that would be really nice, oneo fthe things I have wanted since day 1 with rebels is an adaption of the comic series involving the clone trooper stranded aloneo n thealien planet who eventually became part of the rebellion.

anything with clone troopers joining the rebellion would be awesome for me.

That would be awesome. Then Ezra can finally have a Jedi Master to train him since Unduli is deceased. Can see a story line of the remaining Jedi on a mission to reclaim the remains of the Jedi Masters the Empire is keeping as traps. Then again Ahsoka basically turned her back on the conflict, not wanting to fight for either side. The Rebels crew could pull her out from her funk and back into the fight with Ezra need of a Jedi Master. Whereas Captain Rex was already on to the Empires evil plan and has been staging the remains of the Republic for a counter offense. He would have more insight on the Empire's bases and wouldn't be tracked by force sensitivity.

I think Fulcrum is Leia, which causes conflict among the crew because they're taking intel from a kid the same age as Ezra. It would also jibe with Hera's reluctance to let anyone know who Fulcrum is.

I ALSO doubt that Filoni is going to let his favorite character from Clone Wars languish on the sidelines with no additional story. I think/hope that Ahsoka returns as Leia's personal guardian. I mean, think about it. Obi Wan was charged with protecting Luke, but do you think Leia would just be sent off with Organa with only "mere mortal" protection against the Sith? And with the Jedi on the run, who better than someone off the grid, but also with the absolute trust of Yoda, Kenobi, and Organa?
It just makes sense from a character and storytelling point of view. It also makes sense because FIloni says he knows exactly what happens to her after Order 66, and she is his favorite (not to mention th efavorite of MANY fans).

It's too rich with potential to ignore!

I like the but I'm playing devil's advocate here....
Why would Bail Organa choose Ahsoka to protect Leia?

I believe that IF this "fulcrum" is Ahsoka, he/she may have a great part on the following story, specially because of Filoni's feelings about the character.

I'm not quite so sure about the remaining Jedi's trust on her to be a direct guardian of Leia, taking her special bond to her old master, and her disappointment on the Jedi Order and the High Council. I think that if she became somehow related to the rebellion it would be by her own will, after reaching a higher level of maturity.

In the other hand, she was indeed a powerful apprentice. She dueled Grievous, Ventress, and many other powerful enemies as a Padawan and survived. Many "masters" had fallen by their hands. So its hard to imagine she wouldn't have an important role in the Rebellion, and also hard to figure out how the guys on Lucasfilm plan to connect her story to ANH, if she actually happens to appear in the series.

What option would he have? As far as they know, only Obi Wan and Yoda remain of the Jedi Order. To protect Leia from Palpatine and Vader would require the skills and strength of a Jedi. I also think he had a relationship with Ahsoka, in that he she had helped him at some point (maybe I'm just imagining this from one or more episodes of Clone Wars, but I also think she was well-regarded among those who knew the Jedi). This is totally fan-fic, but I think after Order 66 Obi Wan would have tried to contact her, to warn her but to also tell her what happened and ask for her help. I imagine they would meet at some point, and she'd agree to protect Leia as a full-fledged, but possibly "unofficial" Jedi.

I think Yoda felt a great deal of regret about her treatment because he realized how strong and good, for lack of a better word, she actually was. She'd proven herself time and again as a leader and someone who could be trusted with the most difficult tasks. I also think Obi Wan would have felt she, of all people, could be entrusted with protecting all the good the remained of her former master.

Now that I think about it, that's probably the key. She WAS tied so closely to Anakin that after his fall she, like Luke later, would know there's still good in him, that the Dark Side couldn't completely drive it from him, and that by protecting his children maybe should could help to one day bring that good back.

Man. That story would be RICH.

Now I'm getting convinced about this hypothesis :)

This idea of her being the one who believes there's still good in Vader/Anakin is pretty nice. Part of me still thinks that's either this, or the complete opposite, that since she was so disappointed at the Jedi, Vader may have interest in using this in his favor to bring her and all of her potential to the dark side, to serve him and the emperor and one day, maybe, aid him on taking the emperor's throne. Because of this, she may go into hiding, to protect herself from Vader.

But, I like to look at things thru a positive perspective, so I prefer the idea of her being part of the rebellion sometime in the near future story ;)

Have a hard time believing it to be Bail or Leia after the "Droids in Distress" episode when they return C3 & R2 back to Bail. They had no idea who the droids belonged to and Kanan was caught off guard by Bail's Jedi catchphrase. However, he expresses curiosity too about the crew and turns to R2.

“Show me what you have on your ... Rebels.”

Another way to look at it: Ahsoka and Anakin COULD have saved the Jedi from themselves if they'd been trusted. They both embodied a new mentality that embraced certain emotions that Luke would later come to embrace when he actually DID redeem the Jedi by rejecting Yoda's plea to stay on Dagobah.

Anyway, point being, Ahsoka was an entirely good person who I believe retained her principles and continued her Jedi training even after leaving the Order. I think while she abandoned the dogmatic teachings, she didn't abandon the principles. And I think with the tragedy that came, she'd choose to forgive Yoda and Obi Wan and do whatever she could to help Anakin's children. I think that's just her character.

This is probably ALL speculation and mostly wishful thinking, but until everything is revealed I think it's fun to imagine her playing some role in what's to come with the rebel alliance, not just to help defeat the empire but redeem Anakin.
