SPECULATION Who is piloting the Falcon?

I take it from the second teaser and what MSW says it is Rey (yes I know he's not reliable). The reason why is because the pilot seems knows where they are going. Why do they drive into the star destroyer and more importantly how do they know where and how to get there. Again where the falcon is based on Jakku, it indicates they knows where the falcon is in order to escape. There is too much local knowledge in my opinion to make it just a fighter pilot.

 

The second teaser offers no shot of the cockpit.

The pic of Rey and Finn running at an open ramp does not show the cockpit.

Rey, Finn & Poe are together if MSW is to believed at some point on Jakku. But you don't see it in the trailer. It is possible that Poe is already on the Falcon when Rey and Finn are running toward the ramp.

 

Poe is said to be the Han solo of the new trilogy. Poe Flies two different X-wings, one for a mission from Leia perhaps this is how we see Poe end up in prison in the new star destroyer with Finn. Both find their way to a hanger and jump into a Tie fighter where they blast they're way out and some how crash it on Jakku, but then why do we only see Finn in the stormtrooper gear so worried? Where is Poe?

Poe definitly. Well I hope, he said on the panel that is he the best pilot and the falcon needs the best pilot. :-D

 

That is a good question. The problem we all have the same answer . . . more speculation. My point is that at some point if MWS is to be believed they all end up together on Jakku. AND it is Rumored that Poe gets the Falcon.

 

good points bro. I also think that the majority of rumours and leaks on such sites relate to the start of the film with the middle and ending mainly consisting of [our] pure speculation. that being said, we appear to be a pretty smart bunch...

 

Poe is a possibility, but when you see that pic of Rey and Finn running to the Falcon, Dameron is absent. So either he already made it to the Falcon or he isn't with them.

 

Perhaps Poe is the reason the ramp is down.

Since there is a good difference of opinions I stared a wager over in the casino.

 

I've been wondering this as well. The Falcon seems to be a ship that one needs a lot of practice to fly well. It's a bit odd shaped. The cockpit is not center so a pilots perspective is a bit off. Also if you will notice it isn't the standard fly by yoke that a traditional fighter would have. It's not a ship that someone could easily steal and fly IMO. So this makes me wonder, who is flying it?

If Rey is a Solo then it would lend me to believe that she may be flying it being that both her father, uncle, and grandfather were great pilots and she would also have experience flying the ship and be able to manuever it.

Could it possibly be Poe? I think that's also a good possibility since he is supposed to be one of the "best pilots in the galaxy" as Isaac put it at SWC.

Could it be Han? I think this might be a good possibility. In my heart I want this to be true. I am hoping that Han and Chewie are the ones who steal the Falcon back and not Rey and friends.

I'm going to say it's Han only becuase I hope that is what really is going on here.

I think at the recent Star Wars Celebration events in 04/2015(CA), the actors were clearly told what to say and what NOT to say.
The reportedly surprised reaction from JJ Abrams when Boyigata tells the fans he is a stormtrooper and not a secret Jedi or Resistance spy(covert agent) seems real.
Oscar Isaac saying he's the galaxy's greatest space pilot may refer to his 3rd act command of the Falcon since "General Han" buys the farm .

Chewbacca and Poe will return in EP8/9. Rey and maybe Finn will learn to be Jedi Knights under Master Luke.

 

Rose...

People are seriosly underestimating the role of Rose in the movie, and I think its because they are scared of advertising a CGI character because they know Original Trilogy purists will lose their freaking minds.

I can hear the criticisms already, calling her the "new jar jar" even if she is a good character people will b***tch until they are blue in teh face about her the same way they b**tched abouted the tharks in John Carter even though they were handled surprisingly well.

The new movies are largely going to be about passing the torch to a new generation of heroes, the fact is a star wars group of heroes is not complete without an alien sidekick.

 

Is it definitely strange to me that it's just sitting there with the ramp down. That to me make sit look like someone is already in it when Rey,Finn and BB-8 are running towards it. We also don't know what exactly is transpiring so it's a hard call to make.

 

Oscar Isaac says Dameron is "the best frickin' pilot in the galaxy" yet he gets shot down on Jakku. I guess its like what Han said "Even I get boarded sometimes. Do you think I had a choice?"
