This 'blue alien' who reportedly has something to do with the discovery of Luke's lightsaber..you don't think it's Watto do you?..lol!

I'm not convinced Luke will die in VII; I think it's more likely we'll see an event that launches him into a dark place for the start of VIII. And, if it was my call, I'd reprise the 'threat against your sister' ploy from VI. If Luke is being cajoled into helping 'someone' resurrect the Sith, it's likely they'd threaten to harm Leia in a blackmail attempt. If Leia had earlier positioned herself in the 'the Sith must not return, even if we're only bringing Plageuis back to finally kill him completely, it's too dangerous' camp then Luke could shrug off the threat in good conscience, possibly presuming his captors would back down. But if they followed through and killed Leia, Luke would have cause for anger - particularly if he found out Leia had changed her mind? This would begin Luke's descent into Darkness and create a killer cliffhanger for the first of the trilogy of movies. A stark contrast to the end of IV, where Luke is the celebrated hero before an audience of hundreds, would be a closing scene where Luke is alone and screaming "Nooooooo!" just as his father had after learning of Padme's death. The "Nooooooo!" motif must continue, lol...

All pure speculation and wishful thinking, of course, but I enjoy exploring the possibilities. :)

I'm speculating the planet to be Pasher. It will be introduced in the Novel 'Heir to the Jedi' and is home to Kelen Biolabs.

In the 2014 novel sampler, Luke meets Nakari Kelen a tall dark-skinned woman from a desert planet named Pasher, where her father Fayet Kelen runs Pasher biolabs.

if it is Pasher, then there might be a link between Kira and Luke (I think).

I 'm thinking that Kira is Han and Leia's daughter who is brought to live with Luke's friends the Kelens. The reason I think this is if Kira was to be trained as a Jedi then she will be separated from Leia and the politics of government. Which then leads to, if people knew Leia gave birth to a daughter what happened to her? We may know more when the book comes out, but it's been pushed back to March 3rd.

That's possible, but I think she is Han and Leia's daughter, and Gleeson is Luke's son. Gleeson being the 'Grave Robber', taking Vader's mask to wear and eventually pass down to his son to wear, like the comic character The Phantom. I'm seeing a lot of phantom connections with the 'Grave Robber'.

what about the MakingStarWars rumor that she wants to sell Luke's lightsaber to Han Solo?
if true that doesn't really seem to imply father/daughter.

If the Sequals are going to honor the EU at all then Daisy Ridley character will be Han and Leia's daughter and will be carrying on Jedi line. I personally think she will retrieve mask as a yearning to, in some way (not sure what that is yet), have connection with Anakin. This is the real Jedi that will stand up!!!

There are no Jedi at the end of RotJ (Luke excepted, of course) because they have been hunted into extinction. The same cannot be said about the Sith

If it was meant to be Watto, it would look like Watto...

In the non-canon legends, Vader returned to Tatooine many years after Padm'e's death and killed Watto.

In which case it certainly wouldn't be Watto

Seriously, though... I often wondered why Anakin never settled those old scores...

I don't know if you remember Bantha Tracks... but the original backstory was that Kenobi was walking through a slave market and sensed Anakin, who was being tortured by his master. Anakin, an untrained slave, used the force to choke his master, revealing his abilities... when I watched the PT, I kept thinking that would be so much more choice than the little cherub...

This sounds like a theory I posted about back in October.

I think Kira is brought into the circle not from it. Going by rumors before the SpoilerMan info dumps. Kira and Boyega find the Saber and local Cantina drunk MSV tells them what it is. Then they contact Han somehow and go look for Luke I think there is some truth to this.

I think Kira is force sensitive but unrelated to anyone.

I think that Driver is a Solo who will fall. Remember last name aside whether he calls himself Organa Solo or Skywalker he is the grandson of Vader and a continuation of the line at least genetically.
