    I think it had to do just as much with cruel kids and trolling adults .

    I used to play COD with him up until like 2011 and he seemed pretty bridal as a person besides what he said to the public .

    ZebroGodilla: No I don't think it is our fault. Only a few people carry the fault, not us.
    Even GL cannot be blamed for his terrible speech lines and plot... BUT, he MUST be blamed for having treated this little boy as an adult actor.
    When he was 9 years old, Jake wasn't able to carry on his shoulders the weight of an entire film, and more of this: the first chapter of the new story of the most hated villain ever. This is the problem, when Jake had to follow the team during all the promotion tour, in all TV shows, in all radio itw's. That's not a life for a child. That's not a responsability a boy can manage.
    The ones who have failed are all these adults around Jake, when the film was released : I think GL has failed because he should have protected his young actor, from exposure and jealousy, and should have tell to his parents "Keep him safe, I don't need him on the TV sets!", because every person on earth is able to understand an exhaustive promotion tour is not intended for a child. I also think Jakes's parents have failed too, or Jake's impresario : a boy cannot estimate all the dangers of a worldwide exposure, adults can. They all should have protected him, they all failed.

    Well in Holywood if you're ananctor then you're treated as an adult, hence one of the reasons for the Raft Hartley laws . At the end of the day it's really a business. Yes, he should have been more well-guarded but unless he had prior mental issues that went unnoticed, this isn't anyone's faults at all .

    Holywood is certainly deshumanized as you say... but Jake's parents? Jake's agent? they all know the dangers...
