Finn wakes up from his comma after the events of TFA and realized the previous events of TLJ were a dream.

Rey gives the Lightsaber to Luke. Let’s try this again.......

 

This would establish a time jump, put Poe into the leadership position that was laid out in TLJ, give focus to Finn and Rose for the opening, and setup a reveal of Rey's nascent Jedi Order.

Episode IX

Aboard the Millennium Falcon,
GENERAL REY leads a small
but brave Rebellion of cleaners
and plumbers whose aim is to
restore social justice to the galaxy.

Rey is also desperate to locate
the new Supreme Leader of the
FIRST ORDER, a buff shirtless
hunk named BEN SOLO, the son
of Han Solo and General Leia.

Rey has also sent her most daring
pilot, Rose Tico on a secret mission
to Jakku, where Rey's former boss
has discovered a clue to Rey's
missing parents whereabouts. . . .

Episode IX
RAY OF HOPE
​

The FIRST ORDER REGIME rules with fear over the once peaceful REPUBLIC. General Hux's grand army is ruthless to any system that challenges its power.

As the REGIME tightens its grip, brave heroes from across the galaxy have joined the RESISTANCE. Under the leadership of GENERAL POE DAMERON, the RESISTANCE has pestered the FIRST ORDER rallying even more freedom fighters to its cause. Although hope grows across the galaxy, the leaders of the RESISTANCE are few.

Having learned of a secret meeting of RESISTANCE leaders, the REGIME plans the final destruction the rebellion. The SUPREME LEADER dispatches his most trusted henchmen--the evil KNIGHTS OF REN--to eliminate the few remaining RESISTANCE leaders left in the galaxy....


The movie opens to the MF approaching a remote planet and then the meeting facility for resistance leaders. The MF is flanked by Poe & BB-8 in an X-Wing and Rose in an A-Wing. Rey, Chewy, and Fin are aboard the MF. As they close in on the meeting facility, Poe radios in to Resistance leaders already there. "We're beginning our approach. Tell General Organa we all made it safely." Just then, seven First Order fighters approach from a different angle, blowing the facility to smithereens. It is the Knights of Ren. A battle begins between our heroes and the Knights....

Cut to Supreme Leader Kylo Ren in a throne room with General Hux nearby. A First Order officer approaches.
Officer: (Kneeling) "Supreme Leader, we have received a transmission from the Knights of Ren. The Resistance leadership has been located and destroyed! They say General Organa is among those eliminated."
Kylo: (Head is looking down, he looks up with tears in his eyes) "I felt it."
Hux: (Pausing to glare at the emotional Kylo. To the Officer) "Did they destroy everyone?"
Kylo: (Interrupting) "Not the girl."
Another officer runs in the room.
Officer 2: "Sir, we just received word that the Knights of Ren ... they've been destroyed!"
Hux: (Smirks ever so slightly at this news. He quickly looks at Kylo and sees he is still emotional about the death of Leia. Hux smiles even larger.) "Guards, execute Order 99."
A huge number of specialist troops attack Kylo Ren. A fight ensues. Kylo kicks some butt but is ultimately disabled by Hux.
Hux: "Your reign is at an end Ren. This is my army, my Regime! Bow down to the Supreme Leader!"

(Kylo later escapes detention and flees the First Order before Hux's planned execution of him)

 

Episode IX
Spark of Hope

War has ravaged the galaxy for generations. Now, the children of yesterday's heroes stand in the ashes of their parents' mistakes.

SUPREME LEADER Kylo Ren has led a successful campaign in claiming the core worlds for the FIRST ORDER, but a growing rebellion has found a strong footing in the Outer Rim. Inspired by the heroic sacrifice of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, various planetary systems and smuggler cartels alike have banded together to oppose the darkness that threatens the galaxy.

As the war continues, Jedi in training REY leads her friends on a daring mission to the former Sith planet Korriban to discover more secrets of the history of the Force...​

EPISODE IX

THE FALLEN SONS

A decades long conflict approaches a conclusion far from certain.

In orbit of the small planet VENEER a massive buildup of the FIRST ORDER fleet is near completion while on the planet below KYLO REN and his KNIGHTS OF REN have begun their work on a new training program called THE CHILDREN OF REN.

On the other side of the galaxy the leaders of THE RESISTANCE, keeping in the spirit of LEIA ORGANA, have come up with a plan that includes a desperate mission deep into the UNKNOWN REGIONS that is to be carried out by POE DAMERON.

Meanwhile, on the planet JAKKU, three members of THE RESISTANCE have landed outside of NIIMA OUTPOST at the behest of REY, who left almost a year ago to continue her training and has not been seen since . . .
