Your Favourite Shot from any SW Film

It's hard to find a still capture that does it justice, but when Luke's vision of Obi-Wan on Hoth turned into Han on a tauntaun was a pretty cool scene.

Without further delay, I present my moments. I tried to include ones that I didn't see already. It was easier said then done.

 

ROTS - When Anakin is sitting alone after meeting with the Jedi council and he stands up stares across the city at Padme. The way the camera moves and the hum of a low note is haunting.

There are no words and it's such a powerful scene.

ROTJ - R2 shooting Luke's saber to him and when he catches it, looks at like an old friend, ignites it and goes Jedi on everyone.

ANH - Binary sunset

ESB - Han being lowered into the carbonate chamber as Chewie is getting pissed off.

TPM - Obi Wan waiting on the chamber to open to get revenge for Qui Gon's death.

AOTC - Yoda walking in and pulling out his lightsaber

TFA - "Rey, these are your first steps" as the vision ends is

 

The only light in the darkness: a brief glimpse of hope for Ben Solo. Clever .

 

I think I'll select some of the less obvious choices for my prequel-based post :

Revenge of the Sith has some of the most historically important shots in the context of the films. That they manage to be visually impressive as well is a feat in itself:

A shot from the opera scene. The final piece of bait in Sheev's trap for Anakin: "the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise." The whole scene manages to maintain an unsettling atmosphere, involving everything from the music to the opera stageplay itself. We also get some foreshadowing with a brief, albeit blurry glimpse of Vader's mask within the 'bubble' if you look closely.

A shot from the end of the Mustafar duel. When Anakin reaches out his hand, what does it mean? Is this the last fleeting glimpse of the man known as Anakin Skywalker before his transformation into Darth Vader was complete? Is he seeking forgiveness from Obi-Wan? Does he believe that persevering and managing to defeat Obi-Wan will bring Padme back to his side? Who knows? The dark side has warped his mind!

I love seeing everyone's idea of the perfect shot in movies. Looking through these post makes you realize how in debt these movies are and how everyone finds something that touches them.

i know (already posted by @PrincessLeiaCB3 but it's so good, i don't apologize for repeating it)

I could pick out another hundred shots that i love from SW films, as it's those 'moments' that mean the most to me.

this is my favorite of all so far:-

everything you need to know about Rey in TFA.. we see right into her soul in the space of 2 seconds.
