Your ONE Star Wars wish for 2019: what would it be?

What's actually the purpose of a trilogy? BTW having EPIX split in two parts doesn't mean that the ST is a tetralogy then. But I actually don't want an EPIX part 1 and part 2. I want an EPX instead.

 

Honestly, despite how much of a massive fan of the Prequel Trilogy I am, I'd rather they skip them altogether and jump in straight into developing a new era or set of characters.

Because the problem is that Marvel, for instance, doesn't make a new story about new characters set during the OT or the PT...they make stories about pre-established characters, and usually in the form of inconsequential one-off stories instead of long-lasting, impactful arcs. Meanwhile, Dark Horse would introduce expansive story arcs about brand new faces like Quinlan Vos, Ayla Secura, Kir Kanos, Ulic-Qel Droma, Nomi Sunrider and Zayne Carrick. They were unique characters that had their own story and place in the Star Wars universe. But Marvel seems to have just pinched out Dr. Aphra, and called it a day, relying mostly on familiar characters instead. Give me some new characters! That's precisely why I liked the Crew of the Ghost in Star Wars Rebels...Hera, Kanan and Sabine were new faces (And they're likely to introduce more new faces in The Mandalorian). We should be seeing that approached to characters in the comics and novels.

I could easily say the same thing about the new novels. The last books to feature original characters were Lost Stars and Aftermath, both of which are from 2015.

Constantly relying on established faces like the OT Three or the PT Jedi is making this universe feel smaller, not bigger.

 

I was going to go for peace within the fandom, but that's on us and not something one can wish away.

Well, one thing you can't call it a trilogy anymore. Also, I like the idea of it being a Beginning, Middle and Ending trilogies.

 

Enjoy all this 2019 projects as much as I have enjoyed this new era projects.

To have the same technical and production level and the same quality of cinematography as spinoffs (details, grainy, coherence...).

Ok. These are two wishes.... or more.

 

I just hope Fallen Order is actually a good Star Wars game.

 

I just hope Fallen Order is a single player game.

My wish is laying out a slate of whats coming over the next say 5 years. Like Kevin Feige did with Marvel films a number of years back.

A satisfying conclusion to the saga that doesn't play it safe.

 

My biggest wish would be that my son could find some time to finish his little fan film project he started last year; but I think he has other priorities momentarily
and
an open world SW game in a style like OR would be cool.
Come on @Alamact they should make an open world game and you provide the story boards

 

I certainly wouldn't be opposed to a writing gig! Anything to get me off my proverbial Tatooine.
