10 quid the cut after "Who's the girl?" isn't there for reasons of pacing.

Exactly my point! I'm not saying that I am against Finn being Force-sensitive, however the evidence seems to infer that.

Here's what I put together on multiple viewings.
It seems pretty apparent from the messages/intel that the Resistance is constantly receiving about the status of the Starkiller (charging, targeting, readiness) & the FO's operations that there is a deep-cover mole in the FO. All evidence, both in-movie and promotionally, points to it being Captain Phasma. Phasma was heavily promoted during the lead-up to TFA, with toys/photos/poster appearance and also the casting hoopla of Gwendoline Christie. However, she does nothing in TFA that an unspecified StormTrooper/Officer could not have accomplished. She has very little dialogue, no action sequence and exhibits none of the fire and passion for the cause like Hux or Ren. However, KK has spoken out, saying that she serves quite a large purpose in the overall story. She complies with lowering the shield on the Starkiller, having almost no hesitation or anger. Her one line is "You're making a big mistake." I believe that she says this because she is actually on their side, and she was trying to not blow her cover, but also didn't want to be killed by potential allies. There were plenty of places that Phasma COULD have been used in TFA if she was a true "badgirl". She could have been the one to duel Finn at the Takodana skirmish. She could have been the one that Hux and Kylo ordered to be in charge of finding Rey when she escaped interrogation, but they didn't involve her directly.
Given the fact that it's been said there are big plans for Phasma, but her appearance in TFA shows her to be inconsequential, ineffective and seemingly easily manipulated - I think that the "big plan" is that she is actually supporting the Resistance. Either anonymously or in direct league with someone important in it.

I don't think so. The saber didn't seem to call to him like it did to Rey.

I didn't see visions when Luke grabs his saber on the the Falcon the first time. So that means nothing IMHO

Perhaps because Luke wasn't refusing the saber? He accepted it willingly from Obi Wan. Not saying Finn isn't Force-sensitive for sure. I'm just looking at what was given to us in TFA.

On the second viewing I noticed that Poe was the one that shot and killed the stormtrooper that put the bloody handprint on Finn's helmet. Would Finn be mad at him if he found that out?

They said a couple of times "where there is light there is hope." When Ben Solo is giving his lightsaber to Han, the sun is drained to empty and then he chooses to kill his father.

I saw it for the 4th time last night. The more I see it the more I feel that the pacing and editing are very tight. I don't think anything needs to be added to the film, or left on the cutting room floor. I keep watching character reactions to figure out who knows in story who Rey is. Does she know? Her reactions at certain points seem to indicate she knows she's related to Luke, while at other times she doesn't (like when she wants to go back to Jakku while her best lead, Han Solo, is standing right in front of her). She also seems to know the Millenium Falcon better than she lets on. Has she been on it before?

Leia struts right past a grieving Chewbacca? That bothered me a lot, but the tradeoff was that telling hug between Leia and Rey. A hug between aunt and niece.

Han's reactions to Rey are pretty telling. I think Maz asked him about her and he spilled it to her. Now that Han is gone she can return in the next movie with much needed exposition if the film makers so desire.

Luke's reaction to her is one of pain, regret and sorrow. Actually, Rey's reaction to LUKE is very much the same. It almost felt like they BOTH knew at that moment exactly who they were looking at.

I think the flashback force visions were the KOR wiping out Luke's new Jedi academy. Why is Kylo the only one with a lightsaber? What is the function of the group? Are they just his henchmen?

Snoke is very damaged. His head isn't even symmetrical. He appears to have a secret and if he does it's not out of thin air as a completely new heavy. Possibilities are he is Plagueis, Sideous, Vader, or a new enemy. The only thing that makes ANY sense and isn't completely stupid are Plagueis or a new enemy. My money is on Plagueis.

I'm satisfied at this point that Poe and Finn aren't a descendant of any OT or PT characters. Just Rey and Ben.

I'm postitive that there is a resistance spy among the First Order. Leia was getting information FAR too conveniently. I had hoped it would be Hux but he seemed to relish killing billions a bit too much. If it was him he would have stopped it. Instead, firing the Starkiller device is his idea BOTH times. At this point I also wonder if Phasma is the mole.

This one is probably worthy of its own thread...

    11. Han solo is now a star.
We all caught that han falls into the light when he dies. And that is fitting. And some of us caught that starkiller base doesn't merely explode later on, but becomes a small sun.
But, i finally put two and two together and came to the realization that this new sun will forever mark where han became one with the cosmos.
No, he can't become a force ghost, but there will always be a star in the night sky to pay him tribute.
All the folks rushing to criticize the lack of mourning might take some solace in this more cosmic tribute to our fallen hero.
    ;)

That would mean she is force resistant right? @GideonGrey

    --- Double Post Merged, Dec 28, 2015, Original Post Date: Dec 28, 2015 ---
Unless it was left out in the telling of new hope Or she has that ability to sense that more than others Or as others have said someone sent it to her when she touched it? What do prescribe to there?

    12. I picked up on how much the TIE fighters had advanced in technology, while the resistance x-wings had not as much. Furthering the notion of the underdogs and their used/lived-in world.
I loved how Poe says "i've always wanted to fly one of these." And once he takes off, "wow, this thing moves."
Meaning, he takes down lots of TIEs in an inferior ship.
    Just like the OT.

Finally on my ninth viewing I found the Wilhelm scream.

I don't think I'll be able to analyze the film any further now.

Is it true that First order Stormtroopers were trained to use lightsabers? I heard a rumor about it before, but saw nothing to confirm or deny it in TFA.

It was Obi Wan saying "Rey, you have taken the first step" in McGregor's voice.
