I have Italian family, so not overly bothered if they win! Djokovic is great, but Berrettini is rather easy on the eyes. #priorities :D;)

    Binged Loki last night.

First half of the season was excellent. Smart, witty, and fun. Second half was a real let down. I didn't realize you could jump the shark with an alligator but Loki did just that. The intelligent humor was replaced with middle school antics, the F/X were distracting, and the tension just wasn't there.

I’m not really a supers fan, but with WandaVision and Loki, the connectivity thing is really getting to me; even though the learning curve/buy-in is huge with MCU, I do like it!

My gf and I have just started watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., a show we’ve never touched before. The show is very much X-Files meets the MiB, and all of it filtered through Joss Whedon; oh man, this show is soooo Whedonian...

Overall it’s been a decent enough time (we’re halfway through the 1st season at this point), but I am growing a bit impatient for the big stories and overarching connectivity stuff to start kicking in for realz. But yeah, good enough stuff, this.

    Amazon.com-XXW-Artwork-Durarara-Poster-Celty-Sturluson-.jpg Here we go again...

So currently I'm in the process of rewatching an anime series I rediscovered on Netflix named DURARARA!! I didn't follow the story watching it and left the series half way through.

Durarara!! tells the story of a dullahan working as an underworld courier in Ikebukuro, an internet-based anonymous gang called the Dollars, and the chaos that unfolds around the most dangerous people in Ikebukuro.

To me it started of very simplistic as your average Slice Of Life, but after a while of digging deeper into the story I became way more invested and perplexed at the way the creator and story introducing these amazing character! Not only that, stories like this Anime aren't common in our current world. The execution is amazing! I'll definitely be buying a poster for my room!

Breaking my little hiatus for this post and a different one:

About five years ago - time flies - I did a blog post (yes, I was one of the pretentious people who tried to start a blog) about my top live action superhero shows, ranked by season. And I've seen A LOT of shows. While it was a close race with Arrow, Agents of Shield won the top spot.* Yes, to me, Season 2 is THAT good. It not only delivers on promises made in the original premise, it's storyline builds off of what was happening in the MCU** in very creative ways. I usually have a recommendation rule that viewers/readers shouldn't have to slog through 75% of something mediocre at best (to them) in order to get to the good stuff, but AoS is the exception to that rule.

Season 3 to me isn't nearly as good after the first arc or so IMO, but it's a fan-favorite. Season 4 is one of the best seasons of any television show I had watched in a LONG time when I first experienced it. It's broken up into three smaller yet brilliantly connected arcs, and each weaves into the other with such ease that I almost want every show to emulate its style. Sadly, it ended with a promise that Season 5 didn't fully deliver on - or rather, it seemed like they took some uninspired routes IMO - but it was still a great season overall. Season 6 has some good arcs, but it doesn't fully stick the landing. Season 7 is a wild-ride of a final season with some series highlights.

*I don't remember the full list, but I think I had Daredevil and The Flash tied for first place, with Black Lightning rounding out third for Season 1. For Season 2, I think it went: Agents of Shield, Arrow, Daredevil
**And what some silly execs wanted the MCU to become.

Thanks, @Use the Falchion. That gives me some insighte as we continue with the show. The last couple of episodes we've watched were better than the first half :) I've heard that season 3 gets sidetracked by countless romantic shipings, which I'm not particularly interested in seeing in my MCU stuff, but it does have strong reviews, so... I suspect that, more often than not, this is going to be a fun ride for us :)

Im currently in the middle of binge watching some of Star Trek Deep Space Nine Season 4.

Just watched the 2 parter story arc of Starfleet taking out the one main power grid of Earth to start up a scare tactic of changelings running around on Earth.

Brock Peters did a pretty good job as Poppa Sisko. Funny that he started as a Starfleet captain or admiral in Star Trek VI a long time ago
