Correct. Their relationship became quite hollow, in an instant - unless there exists a hidden lesson that none of us can see.

Thus opening the door for The Lost Tribe of the Sith.... who serve Kujet. Or something.

Better yet, how do they manufacture them?

I can't wait to see the first city and marketplace in the new GFFA.
Like they did with SOLO on Jedha.

    Vain Comedy-
    Ahsoka to Shin:
"Look chick, even if I didn't take Anakin's saber from him I still wouldn't need one against you. Let me help you". Lol.

WHO are the marauders and HOW did they get to Peridia?

    Who mined the ore?
    Who makes their armor?
    Who manufactures their blasters?
What do they eat, the turtle tribe?
How did they fend off a Star Destroyer for 9 years?

    EDIT:

Lars had a great quote regarding the finale.
"You will probably not know what's it all about until that very last scene and I like that."

True (and we're definitely not the first people to remark on how the quest for Thrawn is remarkably similar to the search for the holocron for Exegol).

And I know I'm expecting Star Wars to be a bit more logical than it usually is, but while Exegol seemed to be a fine hiding spot and well within striking distance of the GFFA, it didn't look particularly suited to sustaining life, nor did we really see any industry there... which is why it seems so odd to me that somehow Palps had the Biggest Fleet in the Freakin World apparently stored there.

    How?

Well, if Exegol was just a meeting spot, and this fleet was actually armed from another galaxy, established decades ago, I guess that kinda makes more sense.

Just a theory, but I kinda prefer it to "somehow we built this all on Space Mordor".

    edit:

    Ok, tinfoil hat time. :p
Just an aside (and I'm sure this at least wasn't the original intent), but remember these guys?

    Why red, again?

    Well, maybe...

OOU - Exegol is the planet where logical AND rational thought, both go to die.

    kek - that's a good one.

IU - I wholly embrace the idea that Exegol was Palpatine's U-Store-It.

I mean - just imagine the supply chain issues - AAAND - it takes a stinking wayfinder to get there!
    Gonna stop before I start.

Except the word wasteland has been tossed around and it does seem Peridea has been depleted by something or some one. Just because the powers that we know haven't ravaged the planet... It does give off a Jedha vibe to an extent, particularly the Jedha we see in Jedi: Survivor. It seems as though we see evidence of Nightsisters and Zeffo here, the marauders give a Knights of Ren, almost Nihil feel, with a pinch of Tusken... Very possible that Peridea was host to Sith, Jedi, Whills, etc...

The desolation and depleted, raped appearance of the planet could also be because of......

Bingo. Sure Ezra has been the Roadrunner to Thrawn's Wile E. Coyote, dropped a few anvils on a few Bucketheads, but Thrawn has had significant attrition by his own admission. He hasn't been able to ally with underequipped nomad marauders? There is maybe a much more sizable and powerful entity in the system keeping him at bay. Maybe a Vong/Rakatan/Nihil type enemy, or maybe even a Path of the Open Hand type Force-adjacent group that has been attacking him and the witches. That will be a he'll of a cliffhanger to end the season on.

The Noti and the marauders are intriguing, but I doubt we get more info. Yet. I doubt they have had to fend off Thrawn too much as I assume he saw them as a low-yield opponent. Surely they have only struck at scouting troops and stayed mostly invisible.

The second image isn't coming through which could alter my response. I'm on a cliffhanger here.
The red Troopers are Sith Troopers..................

Not sure what the speculations have been, but Thrawn’s cargo is almost definitely the coffins of Night Brothers. In Ep 6 he mentions that he can leave exile once the cargo is loaded, *per his agreement with the Night Sisters*. Then they mention that the cargo is coming from the *catacombs*, I.e. tombs.

and I kind of love this idea—the Night Sisters attempting to make a big comeback in the Star Wars galaxy via an army of (undead?) night brothers. Could be a cool fresh conflict for future projects to explore.

Whoops! Second image was the raiders on Peridea. Also red.

And yeah, I know they're Sith Troopers. Just throwing around a crazy conspiracy theory that their iconography is a mix of Imperial and Night Sister/Peridea.

Sure, but Peridea is one planet in a new galaxy.

I was flirting with the idea that this ‘new’ galaxy is actually a much much older galaxy. A galaxy in the throws of entropy. A place people would want to abandon in favor of a younger one.

I liked the notion that maybe the Force wouldn’t be as strong here, because there just isn’t as much life to produce it. That doesn’t seem to be the case at all. Just a fun thought.

I wonder if Thrawn's been stuck floating around that barren rock this whole time because he doesn't have access to any coaxium?
Would totally suck if he wasn't able to explore neighboring systems because muh fuel problems.

Also, the ship is running on the backup drives. So there's that.
