With the recent rumors of Ahsoka Tano's return in Rebels, it is very possible that Ahsoka will will into her old master at some point. I thought it would be fun to speculate about how an encounter between Ahsoka and Vader would go down.

In my mind, this showdown should happen near the end of the show. It has the potential to show the full extent of Anakins transformation into Darth Vader, but also has to potential to show any conflict that may remain within him. Would Vader be able to simply strike Ahsoka down without remorse, or would be he hesitant to kill his friend, and try to convince her to join him instead? On a similar note, if Ahsoka figures out who Vader actually is, would she be able to attack her old master, or would she be unwilling to fight him? Would she try to turn him back to the light side, or would she consider joining him? Of course, we know that if this encounter does occur, the end result is Vader surviving and remaining loyal to the dark side, but the speculation about how it would go down is still fascinating.

How does everyone here think it would go down, and what would you like to see in this encounter?

Great question! This is fascinating to me. I think Ahsoka will resist turning despite Vader trying to turn her to the dark side. And honestly I don't want her to fight vader because I think there's no way she wouldn't win if we're being realistic. She's a woman in the prime of her life and he's half man half machine who has little flexibility. She would be too fast for him, especially if she still has 2 sabers.

However, what I've pointed out on another thread (someone else pointed it out first) I would LOVE to see Ahsoka's reaction to learning who Anakin has become if she doesn't know. And Vader's reaction to seeing Ahsoka after so many years of probably presuming her dead.

I am so excited for season 2 for this alone

As much as I love the idea of this confrontation, I'm not sure I want to see it on rebels. Maybe as a made for tv movie? Rebels needs to focus on rebels characters. Vader has been (almost) absent from the show and ahsoka is someone only clone wars fans would know. If you only watched rebels, making the season 2 premiere revolve around vader and his former apprentice would likely hold no emotional weight and would seem to come from no where.

There needs to be the inevitable Ahsoka Vs. Vader Confrontation
It's just too good a story and would be the culmination of Dave Filoni's 3D Star Wars legacy

My bet is when this occurs (and I don't think its going to turn out well for poor Snips, although I love her to bits) it's going to sew the seeds of doubt in Vader that becomes the conflict Luke senses.

For all we know when Vader is in his meditation chamber he could be torturing himself wondering what he could of done to bring Ahsoka over to the Dark Side to help him rule the galaxy rather then being forced to destroy her.

How did I miss this thread?! This is all I've been thinking about since the Ahsoka confirmation. Like Poereymi said, I can't wait (hope to) see Ahsoka find out Anakin is alive, is Vader, and that he's responsible for the slaughter of the Jedi order. I think the younglings is what will cement Ahsoka's conviction in confronting her former master, whatever the cost.
Whatever happens, it's not going to end well for Ahsoka. I imagine something along the lines of Vader calling her a fool for her quitting her training, and still being a padawan when she left the order. She'll reply "No, I am a Jedi, like my master before me." Vader- "So be it. Jedi."
    Then we all cry.

Vader watching Sheev electrocute one of his best friends to death would set the stage for the conflict within Vader that returns Anakin to the light side when he sees Sheev attempt to do the same thing to his son. On the other hand, Vader himself doing the dirty work would be a much more emotional moment, and has character growth opportunities as well. No matter what happens, I cant wait to see it.

Ashoka vs Anakin that would be a memorable lightsaber duel but I doubt she would be back yet.

Her inclusion will be one of the best things for the show, I'm fairly certain. If just for this one moment.

I'm unsure of how the situation would come up, but perhaps during some heroic escape from Vader and his squad (akin to the Tantive IV scene), I could see her taking up the rear to hold the Imperials off while the others escape. My hope is that by this point we've seen her often enough, but that this scene is the first and only time we see her pull a lightsaber. It will make her use of it mean that much more.

Going on, I could see Vader calling off the stormtroopers while he deals with her. Perhaps he recognizes her, or perhaps he just sees some Jedi scum that need to be cut down for good. Either way, in the ensuing fight, I could see her performing very well against him, at least up until the revelation that he is Anakin somehow comes out. At that point, she either begins to falter or willingly stops fighting him, expressing her disappoint and shock, as well as pleading with him to turn from his path.

I see Vader mercilessly striking her down at the end, without hesitation. Only after do we get a classic "Vader moment", as he just "stares" for a handful of seconds at what used to be Ahsoka (pretty sure they might clean that up or even make her disappear...) with we the audience wondering what he's thinking about, before turning away and issuing some orders to his commanders.

I love the character, but I hope she dies. And I hope it's Vader and not the Inquisitor or anyone else.

Everyone keeps talking about the reveal like it would be dialogue spoken to one another. Did everyone forget that they just have to get within a small moon's distance of each other to 'feel the others presence'?

They will know the other is in the area long before either meets.

I feel it would play out similar to A New Hope. Ahsoka will sacrifice herself to let the Ghost Crew get away or something.

Excellent point. It would be interesting to see her sensing a feeling so very familiar, yet so different. It makes me imagine her horror when she realizes that familiar feeling is coming from Vader.

Lol the only thing is I was thinking she's probably an old woman now but she's more likely in her thirties.

Clarification: It would be weird for a powerful jedi who could help the rebellion to sacrifice herself IMO.

I said it a long time ago that this would be a great oppurtunity to set the stage for Vader's redemption in ROTJ.

If Vader ever felt fatherly love for someone before he discovered Luke, it was Ahsoka.

Vader can't bring himself to deliver the final blow so the Emperor electrocutes her while she begs for Sky Guy to help her, but he stands silent, letting the Emperor kill her.

Then, in ROTJ, the conflict in him and his ultimate decision to betray the Emperor is even more impactful.

I don't think we'll see this confrontation. I figure we will see the inquisitor vs Ahsoka, maybe she'll save Kanan's butt or something. I think her death would be like the new theory in the Fate of Kanan and Ezra thread. On Alderaan when its blown up by Tarkin.

It's quite possible they never face off, but I think the idea of them having a final battle is way too delicious for Disney to pass up. I'd be so disappointed if they dropped the ball on that one.
