HUMOR Are You Team PEY or Team RINN?

If Rey is Leia's daughter, she probably wants a scoundrel, Poe may be that scoundrel.

 

I personally would prefer to see no romance/love interest but since the other two trilogies had them I guess we are likely to see one. I went with PEY because I don't want to see a Jedi/Jedi relationship and if the rumors are correct and Rey and Finn are both soon to be Jedi. A bad guy/good girl relationship just doesn't fit as it would interfere with the classic idea of the Sith wanting to do away with the Jedi. Hot shot pilot and female Jedi seems ok

 

It's interesting to see how the image of Han and Leia as a couple (for instance on the ESB poster and such) is far stronger than Anakin/Padmé.
Basically due to one scene ('I love you', 'I know') vs a lot of the most cringeworthy dialogue in movie history (' I wish that I could just wish awy my feelings').

So I hope they have learned a lesson right there.
Oh, and team Rinn all the way.

Well well, I suppose being the only female lead in a Star Wars trilogy certainly has its perks.

 

The Girl/Girl fandom will probably pair poor Rey with every other woman in the film (Except for Leia).

couldn't agree more.

most films have a love story at their base.. even if they aren't labelled as such.

I genuinely believe that the PT would have been received much better had they got the love story elements right. On paper the floating apple scene and the bit out in the fields where Anakin pretends to get hurt falling off an animal... probably looked good on paper. they just didn't work unfortunately.. and the dialogue given to them... well.. it was NOT good. without a believable love story between Anakin and Padme.. nothing else was going to be great.

the OT had no such scenes - Han and Leia were pretty much horrid to each other until the end of ESB. how their love story was done was either utter genius.. or a complete fluke, but it worked beautifully.

if JJ has been smart (and i think there was a rumour that supports the following) - there will be some flirting between major characters and no more than that. but as long as the dialog is a billion times better.. i'm not fussed which way it goes.

 

I'm actually kind of REYLO, especially if Rey is the daughter of Han and Leia and Kylo is an evil Sith apprentice! Potential for much havoc wreakage and hilarity ensuage!

If Rey and Kylo are not related, having a former romantic relationship between them would had a whole new layer to the new good verus new evil situation.
