SPECULATION Baylan Skoll

I don't think Baylan gives two shakes and a grunt about Thrawn. He wants Ezra. He will use Sabine as leverage against Ezra to get what he wants, which is probably access to the WBW. Maybe he wants to use that to go back and defeat Anakin and prevent Order 66. He sees Elsbeth and Thrawn as a means to an end.

 

That's a very good point! Having the WBW be Baylan's motivation -- the great power that will come with them finding Thrawn -- makes all kinds of sense. Oh my!

 

Baylan's charisma & ferocity - it's like they threw 6oz of Vader, 8oz of Palpatine and a dash of Jinn into a blender and poured it over ice.


Call me crazy, but something about Baylan's fighting style - reminded me of Qui Gon.

 

I'm loving his dueling style. Didn't look it up to get the specific form but it looks like it's made for power and defense. I know there was outside factors that played into his duel with Ahsoka but he was giving her the blues during this fight. I loved Ahsoka too, I don't think Baylon completely washed her because she did impress me with her performance. I do believe Baylon got the best of her in this fight. Automatically one of my new favorite characters.

Hmmm.... okay, what if Baylan has a similar plan as

the crew in Jedi Survivor?

What if he feels (perhaps justifiably so, considering the cyclical nature of the galaxy in perpetual war) that the only hope for anything like a new order of Jedi is to form one in a new galaxy? Could explain why the sabers are more of an orange color- they're dark, in what they've done, but have noble intentions.

I'm curious what happens when he gets to Thrawn. Will he welcome the Chiss as a ruler of the Remnant? Or will he try to cut the head off the snake?

Imagine how badass Ray would look standing before Thrawn saying something like "I traveled further than any in my order has come before, just so I could kill you myself".

 

Baylan went full tank mode... Best duel in a long, long time.

He seemed to embrace Thrawn's warmongering role during his version of the "do what must done" speech with Ahsoka. I don't see it happening... would geek out if it does, no lie.

I think your idea is spectacular - and holy crap - if that's where Baylan dies?!?

Seems pretty clear that he's just looking for a place outside of the GFFA and its endless wars to start a new, "better" order of Jedi... right?

 

He will be very disappointed but not so surprised when he learns about how Luke's academy ends up. Probably will roll his eyes at Rey'a new jedi order..assuming he comes back to the prime galaxy and lives to be a very old man
