So, now the question is...will Luke be with Rey? I doubt it but one can wish. Leia does look very sad/troubled.

 

He will. He has to get out of Ahch-To to progress the story

and with his X-wing being wrecked and uderwater I cannot imagine him going in any other way but with Rey, Chewie, R2 on the Millennium Falcon.

Something else I just noticed (again, apologies if already mentioned. Like I said, slow day today). In this picture, Kylo appears to be with Hux. Since Kylo has no helmet (although he could have ditched it already) this could be another meeting between them and Snoke. Kylo's shoulder seems pretty weathered.

 

why do you think Hux is in this scene? they're aren't shown together. or am i missing something?

other observation:
neither Adam Driver nor Daisey Ridley are sparring with people carrying lightsabers. they are all carrying staffs.
since Driver is countering with a lightsaber, we can assume that if any of these were practice for actual light saber fights, the opponents would be carrying them (because the weight/balance is completely different).

but also since Driver is countering with a lightsaber, we might also extrapolate that whatever or whoever he is fighting is carrying vibro-blade-like weapons to specifically counter light saber attacks.

I really, really hope you're right.

Disney has kept the Avengers 3 trailer off of YouTube. They kept the RO SWC trailer off the web, just like they did the SDCC videos for Avengers 2, Thor 3, and Spiderman off YouTube in previous years.

As long as the HD, non-mobile phone bootleg, version is secure, then their job is much easier.

My thinking is why would they release a trailer in August? It would be 2-6 weeks after D23 and 1-4 weeks before Force Friday. Force Friday is as much of a commercial as any trailer.

They released the teaser in mid April. Then Vanity fair was in mid-to-late May. Then the BTS in mid July which was 6 weeks later.

I think they'll sit and coast off the BTS video until Force Friday six weeks from now. Then they'll wait 4-6 weeks for the full trailer. They're just going to wait to make their blitz after Thor 3 and Justice League make their major pushes (JL opens a month beforehand so they'll basically have 5 weeks to trot out the stars on talk shows & release 45 tv spots. They have to release a new trailer to run before Thor 3 (as Avengers 3 and Black Panther will do), but I don't think there's any chance we see a trailer for TLJ in August.

They haven't shown any evidence they're planning a marketing campaign that would allow for that timeline.

We are 5 months away and we've gotten a 80 seconds that might be in the movie. I don't see them doubling that before Labor Day.

 

Not sure why people are thinking force Friday for the trailer. We went through this 2 years ago and it was an event for the toys...no trailer. It's going to be the same way this year. My guess is mid to late August for the trailer. And it will show scenes that are in the first wave of toys (a lot have been leaked). So, essentially they wont show anything new with the plot since the toy leaks have shown us some of that. Then force Friday will pump all those toys.

 

I think it would be too early to trop the first TLJ official trailer in August as well since we just got the TLJ BTS in July but they released the RO BTS in June and then the first official RO trailer in August, so I'm hoping they follow suit. Also Force Friday will reveal allot so they should release the TLJ trailer b4 September / Force Friday, or they could wait and release it in October. Just hoping we don't have to wait till October. The only reason I think things might change is all the Han Solo film problems caused a major shift but thats just me speculating.

 

Sorry, I should have pointed out where I thought Hux was in the pic, but yes, the bit of orange/red hair on the right side.

Re: Driver/Ridley sparring...could the people they are sparring with be the Praetorian Guards?

 

as they are the only staff-wielding fighters who seem equipped to battle FS peeps that we've seen so far, i'm thinking this is a fair guess at the moment.

 

Judging by Leia's expression, Luke didn't go with Rey.

Guessing they're setting up an 11th hour save for the resistance from Luke on Crait.

 

I know all signs are pointing to the guards being Snoke's but is there any chance they aren't? Could they be on Ahch-To? And if the guards are with Snoke, will we see them in action on his Star Destroyer, Canto Bight, Crait, etc.?
