Is it just me or does Luke look younger in this shot?

I want to see a flashback scene with a younger Luke. Haha!

 

So that's been spoiled for me.....and from the one site that I refuse to visit because....I am trying to stay away from spoilers....so....thanks for that.

 

Oh my god. Yes, Definitely younger. Hard to tell how much, though. Grey in his beard, but far less haggard. Could be 6 years ago? Or even more. In one of the books, the way Leia describes Luke makes it sounds like he's looking old beyond his years.

 

Yes, he is probably 6 years younger in this picture. His look fits in with the flashback scene of the teaser.

JJ had a very different job than Rian. JJ had to get the fans "back in the fold". In my opinion... JJ's TFA was pretty much the only way they could have gone. Call it a re-hash, a re-make, a copy, unoriginal, lazy, ect, all you want. But the money it made and the over-all response from a VAST majority of the fans and critics, proved it was a the right formula. A beautiful mix of the familiar and the new, while giving us tastes of new and original adventures to come, all wrapped up in a movie that was by far superior to the Prequels in writing, directing, and most importantly, acting. It felt like Star Wars again. Period. We are 'all in' again, and JJ's mission was accomplished.

Now Rian is free to take us on a new journey, and give us something completely original and unexpected. And I truly believe that he is going to deliver that.

 

Snoke will be major shock, even to most prepared.TLJ scenario insights are incredible.I think we are dealing with best SF film of all time.

The final battle will be on Canto Bight, be probably at the end of the film and Finn, Poe, Rose and Rey will be there. Not sure about Luke yet, but I bet he will be too.

I hope so. I believe it. TFA came in close: its at a second place for me only topped by ESB.

1. antagonists score major victories
2. protagonists are emotionally challenged, they need to find out who they are, whose side they're on and what their real motives are.
3. item 2 is reflected in the presence of a so-called 'trickster' who embodies the different resolutions of the protagonists' struggles

Seeing the costumes people are wearing, act 3 will more likely be situated on Crait.

 

I wonder what you guys think are the big surprises that several (including Daisy, Rian etc..) have alluded to?

Return of special characters (Obi, Yoda etc.)?
Reveal of Rey's parents?
Snoke's identity?
Death of someone major like Luke or Leia?

Maybe the reveal of the true nature of the force or TLJ will reveal that the Jedi were wrong all along.

What ever it is, it will change Star Wars drastically.

I suspect we will have flashback scenes with Mike Hamil made younger one decade using CGI,and possibly his eye to eye encounter with Snoke.My insights point that Snoke is as ugly as in TFA however we will see him also better looking in his younger age in a pivotal scene that will explain curent situation,which explains LEGO look of Snoke,its previous himself.
I suspect Luke was stronger in that old duel with Snoke, however...he found Snoke can cheat death.
