    I just wanted to suggest it might be nice to have a quick blurb on the landing page here. Something that explains what the Cantina is for those who browsed here by whatever means. Something welcoming that gives some perspective on why this forum exists and what it hopes to achieve. An ‘about us’ sort of message.

    Background: I saw a post in a thread earlier today for someone stupefied as to why forum members would post opinions counter to their thread’s premise. I thought about telling them it’s probably because that’s the whole point of a forum (open discussion) and then quote some supporting verbiage from the site. But I didn’t see any. Just a thought.

    Have a nice day and may a whole bunch of Force related stuff be somewhere in your general vicinity . . . unless you’d rather it not be :)

    @eeprom As a retired military guy, you had me at "Mission Statement". Every great organization I was a part of in my military career had a clearly defined mission statement, and a vision for where we wanted to go in the future.

    Revisiting this thread as I think @eeprom 's idea is excellent.....maybe @eeprom and I can work on a mission/vision statement for the Cantina, and present to staff for review and approval? (this is sounding like a military operation here)

    @Viral Hide , @LadyMusashi , @Trevor , @Pomojema thoughts on this?

    I take it you don't read YouTube comment sections on Star Wars. The Cantina is relatively calm and peaceful compared that garbage pit.

    To address this, (and as @Jayson has noted), there is somewhat of an impromptu statement of the sorts at the beginning of the Rules and Regulations page...albiet a short one.

    That being said, I would be willing to take a look at any verbiage that would expand on that statement of our community standards and goals...but no guarantees that it'd be used in it's entirety or at all, but you're free to type it up, and if you send it to me, we'll look at it and decide.
