Carrie Fisher Has Left Us

How truly sad. First it was our beloved R2 and now we loose our wonderful Princess Leia as well. My prayers go out to her family and loved ones.

 

Truly a huge loss today. I honestly thought she'd make it through this one. I feel a part of me died inside. It will take a few days maybe more to let it sink in but its gonna hurt more when I watch the OT and TFA when I do. My thoughts go out to Carrie's family and friends and those who knew her through work.

I feel honor now more than ever that I got the chance to meet her a few years ago in Toronto and got her autograph. I am going to put that in a frame - a nice frame and have it somewhere to remind how much of an impact she made through her portrayal as Princess Leia.

I already miss you, Carrie. May the force always be with you.

 

She's not really dead as long as we can find a way to remember her.

RIP Carrie.

 

A beautiful submission and tribute to Carrie Fisher. I returned from a second viewing of Rogue One just now to discover that our princess of the stars had passed away. It's a sudden passing, and too soon. It goes without saying that she will be dearly missed....

My heart goes out to her family and friends. Rest in peace, Carrie Fisher. <3

So very heartbroken and sad today. We lost our Princess.


She is one with the Force and the Force is with her.

 

Thank you Carrie for everything. You helped shape our world with the fantastic Leia and so much fan service ever since!

An inspiring female, a mother, RIP.

 

I can't believe it.

 

There's this weird sense that hits me in waves as I think on her passing.
Maybe it's because so many important people of my youth and upbringing seemingly all passed in one years time.
Maybe it's just because I've spent the better part of three decades welcoming her into my home and introducing her to each new generation.
Maybe it's because I adored the living hell out of her growing up.
Maybe it's because she was the first "cool" princess.
Maybe it's because of the feelings the slave bikini gave me....

But damn this one, maybe only in comparison Bowie, is just hard to move on from like other "celebrity" deaths.

 

Help me Obi Wan Kenobi you are my only hope to get over this.

I don't usually get torn up by celebrity deaths, but this is different. It's personal. As so many others have said, she was our princess. I fell in love as a 6 year old boy watching Star Wars for the first time in August 1977. The world is certainly darker without her. Carrie, May the Force Be With You.

Been shocked since last week.

Condolences to the family most of all.

 

I always thought...given her health background, she'd be the first to go out of the big three but to think of everything she went through in the last 40 years...I just...wouldn't think she'd go out like this. Not like this... and...yet, I was right...she was the first to leave this world before Mark and Harrison.

I miss her. Soooo much!!
