Is it just me? - When I look at that pic, I see someone being taken hostage, from the POV of a third party. She looks helpless, pleading with the viewer not to fall for the bait...

 

They don't look like they're on the same team to me either.

Ya to me that seems pretty obviously the exact opposite of "being on the same side"

He has shown Daisy something that has broken her spirit and he is now coming up behind her thinking he has won

 

My sarcasm detector isn't tuned to the internet.

 

The "Embrace" art, who thinks when the movie comes available to own on DVD/Blu-ray, these scenes could be listed as:

Chapter 44: Castle of Evil or Castle of Darkness
Chapter 45: Dark Embrace?

I think the Dark Embrace scene could be Daisy's BEST scene in the whole movie.

 

To me she looks like she's in a trance. She is emotionless, staring off into space. She isn't looking at the figure that is on our left, she is looking straight ahead. I think this is why so many (including myself) get the feeling she is looking at herself in a mirror. The dark figure is covering her in a black cloak, while he speaks to her of her legacy, she is being tempted, and she is listening....

There is a second mirror behind them (on our right). This "grave-robber" might like to always look at himself and his transformation. Mirror Mirror on the wall, who is the Sith-iest of them all.... Follows in line with some of the fairy tale elements of Star Wars...

 

Ah. I certainly can see how that could be the case.

Personally, though, the staging of that one looks more to me like the masked character is trying to stop her from doing something. Like she is engaging someone or something in the foreground and the character at the masked dude's feet has tried to restrain or impede him long enough for her to be able to do this... and this is the moment red saber guy realises the diversion...

Vader tried to turn Luke, overthrow the Emperor, and "rule the galaxy as Father and son". Maybe Vader had a previous apprentice that he kicked to the curb when Luke surfaced. Maybe Ezra? It would create a future storyline for Rebels and create a prequel/spinoff movie of Ezra's fall that would provide a great opportunity to get Vader back on screen without bringing him "back to life" so to speak.

 

What's the word on that cyborg-looking female holding a helm of Darth Vader? Has that been deemed as concept art that didn't make the cut to final production?

I think it might be cyborg Mara Jade, who, as unlikely as it probably sounds, would be cool played by Sigourney Weaver. Although I think she's doing Avatar 2.

Also, I'm interested about that tall, alien-headed guy with the orange/red lightsaber who looks like he's force-manipulating Daisy Ridley's character. It looks like it's taking place in the snow. What's the theory/story behind the orange/red lightsaber guy?

His eyes, eye sockets/eyebrows, skin tone, "height", and part of his cranium somewhat resemble an image of Darth Plagueis on the Star Wars wiki by his "powers and abilities" section.

My misc thoughts are that Luke and Mara might owe Plagueis a debt... maybe for saving them and their son Gleeson. And maybe Plagueis was just hibernating in a cave after Palpatine "killed" him in his sleep, recuperating or something. Probably Palpatine attempted to kill him because Plagueis would relentlessly taunt him about his first name being Sheev-- I'm getting ahead of myself. I'm mostly just interested to know what's known about those two images, including theory.

 

Sigourney Weaver was in Buckinghamshire England 2 weeks ago filming a movie which just so happens to be where Pinewood is too.
Depends how big a part she would have.

I think the idea of a Mara Jade like character is pretty much not going to happen. IF Luke had a wife she's dead and gone. Just my opinion but since we now know the EU isn't canon and called "Legends" I think we are safe in throwing that particular baby out with the bath water.
