Most of the art had dates of 2013 before most of the cast were in contract. It's most likely that it's just a generic girl.

    Interesting stuff.
I am still of the opinion that any of the artwork that features the "grave robber" character and/or Darth's helmet is not what it seems, including this one.
I see it as more "Luke's tortured dream world" than traditional "flashback". IMO...

She could play an adopted daughter to Leia and Han, with Daisy as her biological daughter.

Is there a place where one can still view the artwork?

Sorry for wading in with an opposition posted about three pages back, I haven't been as active on here as I'd like to have been recently. I don't agree with the concept that characters from TFA won't be appearing in Rebels and other SW products before December next year - remember how much JJ likes his easter eggs! R2 turns up in Star Trek: Into Darkness, for example.

So no, I don't think that they'll be all up-front with tie-ins to TFA, and I certainly think they'll garner more viewers (and consequently more DVD, Blu-Ray nd merchandise sales) for Rebels if they use some of the characters from the show in the movie and mention later on that you can see more about their back-story in the show. Personally, I can't wait to see all the new video games that will be released soon enough and see how they are canon now - although it does mean that there's probably not going to be any alternative endings to the games (ie light-side and dark-side endings) because they all now have to tie in to the movies. Hmm.... it'll be interesting to see how they deal with that. (duel)

That was kind of the point I was making really.
There is a whole marketing campaign and series of tie-ins coming up branded as The Journey to Episode VII. They are already flagging up books that aren't released until next September based on their EpVII tie-in credentials.
An easter egg is an easter egg, a marketing opportunity is a marketing opportunity...

We've got more than a year to go. (Anyone remember how long they began touting Grievous before his big screen debut?)

Star Wars is the original mass merchandising juggernaut. You can bet we're going to be inundated by licensed EVERTHING this time next year. And as a redblooded American, I can't wait!

I couldn't agree more. Rarely do I find myself the consumer "buy buy buy!" type of guy, but Star Wars is the very rare exception to the rule. I want books, posters, figures - and I want them now!

    Take my money, please.

Ditto. And for us parents... the kids give us an excuse to indulge in all of it, even the most ridiculous lightsaber toothbrush/The Force Awakens alarm clock, etc...shamelessly! (Cuz yknow its not for us, right? Lolz)

Bahahaha. If I were a parent, I would be in the same position. Fortunately I am single guy with no one to answer to - hence no excuse is needed! I'll be waking up to that TFA alarm clock, brushing my teef with that lightsaber toothbrush, and posing little Daisy Ridley action figures all over my apartment. Cause really - why not?

Forgot to reference something in the first post of yours I quoted - you asked how long they were pushing Grievous on us before the release of Episode III. I actually am curious as to how early they were marketing this character. As I was in my late teens at the time and rejecting the "nerdy" call of Star Wars worship for a few years, I wasn't nearly as invested in internet sleuthing before the release of ROTS.

If anyone has any insight into how long characters/details/merchandise were released before each of the PT movies were actually put out, I would greatly appreciate it. If nothing else, it gives at least rough framework to count on happening this time around.

I guess if this is true, then it is from the old script of VII.

Could be....but if that's Boyegas tie fighter it's not an old burnt out ship. It is a currently burning ship.

Boyegas Tie gets shot down - Kira saves him from the scavengers and picks him up with her speeder ot the cantina- "Wickerman Aliens" take the ship parts to their village - Empire searchs for boyega cos he is a high ranked imperial(Ship parts lead them to the village) - The empire burns down the village.

So the smoke u are seeing is from the Tie.

Yes in the photos...I was originally talking about a concept art piece on MSW and they explained it as an old burnt out star ship. So I am saying that statement was not about Boyegas tie fighter......

What leads you to think that smoke doesn't equal fire? hahaha. In all seriousness, I am curious as to your perfectly valid response to the rumors

Personally I think what we have heard makes perfect narrative sense. Don't worry about disagreeing with me, I am legally insane, and I have the papers to prove it
