SPECULATION Connections with Star Wars Legacy

We have indeed, and it's time for this nonsense to stop.

 

I'd just like to briefly emphasize Trevor's point that we repeatedly spoke with @Itsnotimportant about his actions, trying in a friendly, positive way to get him to understand that we valued his opinions, just not his combative and sometimes flat-out abusive attitude. Didn't help.

Tried taking minor corrective actions (warnings, etc.) to get our point across. Didn't help.

We even gave him plenty of room to get his act together gradually, rather than demanding that he shape it up right then and there. Didn't help.

Banning him wasn't a decision that we made lightly or in anything resembling haste. It just got to the point where we really didn't have any real options left.

As Trevor said, let's all try to play nice, have fun, and notice when we're maybe getting a little too personal. For my money, you guys all still make this one of the best damned SW fan forums out there.

 

I said this to Darth Lexor earlier today, and I'd now like to say it to you, and to all of the staff here.

I think you and the rest of the staff were more than fair with this person. You showed both patience and restraint,
and none of you were heavy handed or overbearing. I believe the banning, although unfortunate, is the right
decision.

I actually recommend deleting every post here that is off-topic, including my own... as they simply are too omnipresent to overcome and get the topic back on track.

 

so about those connections to the star wars legacy.

 

im going to have to read Legacy all over again, I always found it weird how they were doing a V2 of Star Wars Legacy... its not something that is typical of Star Wars comics/

 

I'm already reading it all over again, now with other eyes! I will write what I found

 

oh look the droid they found the lightsaber in is a ball... sure he isnt rolley, and is a floaty... but still a ball.

 

Cade Skywalker reminds me things about Kylo because he knows about his past and read the stories again and again about the Skywalkers and also he has this repellent attitude with the Force, like Rey is supposed to react in front of the lightsaber or the force. More character treatment here, and I'm just getting started... issue3

 

Issue 11 "No Rest, No peace, Just Ghost" so far my favorite!!! Everything in it is awesome. (spoiler alert) It has it all. Cade Skywalker has now embraced the Force and he will get Jedi Training again and he now wants to fulfill his destiny as a Jedi and as a Skywalker. A seriously crazy hallucination about Mara Jade and Vader because an overdose of deathsticks served to him as a wake up call.

I'm not saying that Kira/Rey is having a deathstick overdose in TFA but maybe she has a wake up call too. I don't know if this wake up call is gonna be the "flashback" or the vision they all are supposed to have in Maz Kanata's Castle... But I can bet on that she will have a wake up call just as Cade did, so she can handle her true destiny.

Issue 12 Cade abandons his training because he has a vision of Luke during an emptiness meditation; in this issue he is mentioned for the first time as a "scavenger" while he was younger. He also has this repellent attitude with the Force because the anger he feels about his dad Kol Skywalker after he died in the battle of Ossus. Maybe Rey has a concern too about her legacy .

R2-D2 is back! so cool!

 

Issue 16 Cade accepts the teachings of the dark side by his master Darth Kryat, but everyone knows at this point that he is emotional estable enough for step in to the dark side, learn one thing or two and then go out, right? right?
So maybe Rey also goes to the dark side to learn one or two things from that experience and be smart enough to don't get to deep into it.

Issue 17 Cade's Mom is going for his rescue. Three weeks later, Cade still is training with the Sith and has a sith love interest. Im really starting to think about that female sith role KK mentioned for VIII. Rey maybe could be a mix of Ania Solo and Cade Skywalker if we keep doing the connections.

Issue 18 about Kryat and Snoke: Both were "sleeping" thru the whole Anakin/Vader Arc. Cade takes his father's lightsaber and fights against the Sith

@Aglarion Look bro! they made our thread, the thread of the week! Thanks for starting this thread since I did the post about the connections with Star Wars Legacy. Cheers my friend, this is for the both of us!!

 

Sorry I'm late to this AMAZING thread, I just want to cover and recap some stuff. It seems from the info we have, Finn, Rey, Kylo and possibly BB-8 have all had aspects drawn heavily from Legacy V2 (Legacy as a whole was awesome). I think someone mentioned the droid who looks like IG-88 helps Rey, and it's my belief that role the droid plays will be played by Sydow like some very really rumors mentioned.

As for the whole Star Trek sidetrack, it's fine to make connections. After all, Abrams did work on both Star Trek and Star Wars. Personally, I do admit there is a disconnect between the old Star Trek and the new movies, though I find Enterprise to have the best blend of both eras. Characterizations seem more up to date, and Uhara's character is so much better now. And Scotty! Abrams has proved he can take the old and make at least a very strong refresh.

As for the staff coming in, it's actually a great thing. I'm part of the 1030th Resistance, so I communicate with them on a daily basis, like @Trevor and @Darth Lexor Kai. What happened with ask the reporting and rudeness is ALWAYS NOTED. But we're just like you all, and understand the Internet can cause a few people to be rude, and everyone to have some issues. We stirrup in when we need to, just remember that
