What a great and compelling story that would be.

 

Well Kylo could start out bad, become good and help take down the real bad guy over the course of the next two,or become good in EP 8. Almost a mirror of ROTJ. But who knows...I'm so confused about it all anymore.

Rumors just cloud everything

I've been saying that Kylo is Han's son since last year. I thought it was obvious. Rey is Han's daughter? Maybe, maybe not. Probably. Gleeson is Luke's son? Why not? Anakin had a son AND a daughter, and from Luke's perspective, that's not such a bad thing, he and his sister are forces for good. We could have a triad of kids with a range of abilities and dark and light struggles. Perhaps Kylo is the one the represents what embracing the dark side does, causes self destruction (or partial destruction) and destroys those around you. Rey is one who resists her force talents (like Leia) and by lacking training is susceptible to being swayed by the dark side, much like Luke in ESB. She COULD be a great force for good. Finn is untrained and unaware of the potential of the force... he's could be the purest and most trainable and most open to the Jedi Order's ways. Gleeson is a wild card, perhaps he represents that rebellious spirit like his father, going your own way, wanting to save everyone, will use whatever methods he see is right, failing to see the harm in his righteous path, maybe in the end becoming the wisest from his mistakes. He may seem brash and dangerous, but may evolve the most. These are strong character arcs that could play out over the trilogy.

 

Darth Baratheon?

Ren is the main antagonist sure but that means he is the foil or one of several foils for the new heroes.

 

Why follow yet another "Skywalker tragedy"? We´ve seen it already. I´m not interested in seing the exact same story arc AGAIN. Do you? Do they?

 

We don't know anything man.

 

The main character could stumble across a plot to kill a important figure with severe consequences aside from jedi & senators, it will be this characters choice to prevent it or allow it to happen.

 

Interesting theory. We're all focused on him being the bad guy outright. I agree with some of the other posters here that it would be a good journey to have him go from Dark to possibly Light to possibly a balanced "One Force" as @Lazlo was theorizing. Thus he would fulfill the prophecy, albeit a bit later and under different circumstances than interpreted by the Jedi.

...actually I only visit this website. And I'd hoped that old weirdness would never come up but now it just did. The OT will never be free of people bringing that up.

 

While seeing more rumors being posted online makes us feel like we know more and more about TFA, what do we really know?
We still really don't know much more than we did 3 months ago. Everything that has come out (if it's accurate) was already heavily assumed/speculated.
Other than the possible death of Han we still don't know squat about the plot or the characters.

 

Precisely. Everyone needs to remember to take all these with a bit of salt next to them, at the ready. Rumors start somewhere and they evolve, and a lot of the rumors seem to start from people who may have indeed worked on the movie itself, but are largely extrapolating for the majority of what they say. Others just come from random speculation and then seem to be treated as fact, like that couple of days when it seemed a lot of people were 100% sure the cyborg was Luke.

Even with some things specifically stating "we have the proof, and it is 100% real and going to happen", I still won't take them as fact until I see them in the film come December. I enjoy reading them, but avoid stating "this is that for sure" when speculating, as we all should.

 

Right.The only thing I consider fact is material from THE source.

Right now that's the title, 88 seconds of random clips , 15 words of dialogue and names on trading cards.

 

Im really saddened to read that Han is going to die. I really hope this wont happen

 

Personally, I will believe Kylo Ren is a Solo when I see it. This is all pure conjecture at this moment. Link Voxx is right, we don't know anything at this point.

 

Well, everyone has to die.

Of course you can have him live happily ever after. But I would prefer a sacrifice. It'd be good for his arc.
