Are you expecting Rey to defeat Kylo Ren by herself? That seems weird to me. Like Luke if Luke defeated Vader in the first movie. Rey's not a Jedi, and she's clearly showing fear of Kylo in certain shots in the trailers. I seriously doubt she bests Kylo. She won't beat him and will have to face him again, just like Luke had to face Vader again.

Luke showing up is anything but anti-climactic, especially when the whole story is about finding him.

Confidence setting to 100%. But why would you think it's more likely the Falcon? I'm not saying it isn't or won't be- but why you think it's "more likely"? I'm just following the facts, where they're leading me. The dialogue "hope is found" played under the "Rey looking up at 'something'" scene in the International trailer suggests through that dialogue that this is the scene Luke appears. It may not be the case, but the fact is the dialogue is played under that scene, and this is done for a reason (unless you think the construction of trailers are meaningless correlations haphazardly into random places, creating a false correlation where no correlation was intended).

I looked at it again and I have to say you are right. Finn doesn't wear a belt and his jacket hangs past his waistline. Which is clearly seen in this picture. Also what I thought looked like Finn's red shoulder on his jacket is on the wrong shoulder so is shading not the red of Finn's jacket.

It's Rey. If you have the Windows operating system, download the youtube video in high res using one of those websites or a free program that does that. Then download a video editor such as the free program called Avidemux that lets you go through it frame-by-frame. I did that. You can also see her outfit flapping around.

 

Actually, I'm expecting more of a draw... as the planet starts falling apart, Kylo ends up disappearing (just as the MSW plot leaks have suggested), in a similar kind of fashion to ANH.

Exactly. It's Rey about finding Luke, not Rey finding her.
Rey needs to prove to herself (and to audiences) that she is the hero... she can't do that if she doesn't actually accomplish anything.

Having Luke come to the rescue would be like Yoda showing up to help Obi-wan at the end of The Phantom Menace.

The lighting + MSW plot leaks.

Unproven? Nearly every shot of footage and officially announced detail released since the MSW plot leaks from February through to May has been mentioned in those leaks.

And only the outline itself has been edited (and really only minor changes at that). The original MSW reports which the outline sourced haven't been changed at all.

The basic plot in the outline matches up with everything we know from official sources about the movie itself, right down to details like Finn ending up with blood on his helmet, and Rey running off into the woods on her own when the First Order arrive on Takodana.

How can anyone seriously claim it to be unproven?

Not saying these aren't spoilers in this video, but has anyone played or watched footage of this game before? Could just be a melee weapon. Also, if we're going to take gameplay as a spoiler, the cut scenes would be more of the spoilers. I believe this is the board where there was complaining about a lack of space battles. Well, there it is, right in a couple of the cut scenes.

In this specific game one doesn't necessarily use the weapons they would in the movie. I wouldn't call it an open world game. Its somewhat linear, but one doesn't necessarily play exactly the way the movie plays out. It may turn out this is what happens, but I wouldn't base it off of individual feats of gameplay. That level may very well have the two of them battling Kylo Ren, but it doesn't mean the movie does exactly what the game does. That would be like saying everything that happens in Battlefront is what happens during a movie. If that's a cut scene or if that Kylo Ren gameplay, then I would say otherwise. Could very well be a cut scene for Kylo Ren gameplay, then I would say spoiler.

 

The leaked TFA concept art and the leaked scene list aligns with what we are seeing here that they tried to obfuscate a bit but not enough to protect it from freeze frame and video editors and the like.

 

I don't think people are, there have been rumors about this scene for over a year now. Its a culmination of aggregates which is pointing this direction. Sure it could be wrong but am just pointing out the thought process.
