No, 'we' (me) do not like Ezra. He is an annoying naive little brat. And Sabine too. ;)

I think "we" like Ezra cause he has shown his abilities with the force. How his anger and fear makes him use the force so strong and his lightside is only calming with Kanan and not running from anyone. I like Ezra cause its like just like Anakin in a sense and now that he has Ahsoka and Kanan to try to help guide him I do want to see him fall to the dark side. Especially in the SW Rebels series to fall into the guide of the SW saga. I wanna see the series end in a ESB/RotS type vibe. Someting like the rebels get started on the establishing of a rebel base since R1 is stealing the plans. but with that they lose Ezra to the darkside and him and Kanan fighting it out in the end...

May the force be with you always...

I just started watching Rebels about last week and do not like Ezra. He is boring, static, whiny and unoriginal. Kanan is awesome though. This is why I hope Ezra goes darkside, then maybe his character will be more interesting and even more so killed.

I think Ezra has the same issue as every other youngling strong in the Force that we meet in the Star Wars universe. At first we all dislike them because they are whiny, know it alls who don't want to listen to their established Master who we have already fallen in love with as a character. Examples Anakin was quite annoying and didn't get the love from fans. Ashoka also was despised by fans, until a few seasons into Clone Wars, where now the majority of fans like her.

Ezra has the same issue! I think he is very much like Ashoka when we first meet her, I just hope that they evolve his character enough to make us like him. Making him go Dark could help with that or just making him behave a little less like Aladdin and more like a Jedi would be sufficient.

Also a reason why I think they had Rey be older when she is introduced, we don't have to see her young annoying days like we did with Anakin, Ashoka and Ezra!

I think Ezra is okay, but my favourite character is probably Kanan or Ashoka.

All the Rebels characters are good, so I don't even know why this thread was started.

Ezra came across as a little annoying to me and he was pretty childish at points in the first half of season one. But he has really grown on me especially after the recent episode on his parents. He has become more sympathetic in my opinion and he has matured as a character. He still isn't my favorite, my favorite being Kanan, but he is definitely rising in my eyes.

I like Ezra as a character, and also think he resonates well with the youth of today. He is impulsive, impatient, self-reliant, cheeky, caring and brave. Ezra does not seem as constrained by tradition as most of the pre Empire Jedi, and thus seems to have more of an ability to be creative in his life approach , eg his blaster/light saber, and the ways he excapes from the Empire and the Inquisitors. I think this is also part of the reason the discipline side of things is more of a challenge for him. He also listens to those around him, but subsitutes no judgement for his own. I like that. The interaction bewteen Ezra and Kannan is hilarious and touching, and one of my favourit things about the show. Kannan is still my favourite, but I think all the characters on rebels are quite well done.

I think Rebels is ok, not as good as the Clone Wars. I just do not understand how its easy for Sith to train and develop in hiding, but not Jedi.

Lies, deceit, creating mistrust. These are the ways of the darkside.

Not so much a Jedi strong point I guess.

Hahaha, yes, I guess that is the case. But, a galaxy is massive and it seems that as soon as a non red lightsaber shows up, the empire is on top of them and ready to pounce.

I am just saying, there is time for Sith to develop in secret, it would stand to reason as big as a galaxy is, there would be places where pockets of Jedi could train the next generation.

Yup, definately. Its a big universe. I would take it further, and say their are a plethora of undiscovered variants of force users, just awaiting discovery...

    Bring on the stories!

If you asked me at the beginning of season 1, I would have said no. I thought he was bratty and childish and a more annoying than anything else. However my opinion for him has improved every episode and at this point he is definitely my favorite character in the show. This is mainly because he is trading a fine line between the light and dark side. There are times when you can see that he is a very caring person, but that caring leads him to tap into his anger to protect people from the empire. I'm thinking he is a very similar character to Revan who left the jedi to protect the innocent but the war turned him to the dark side. I think Ezra will turn out similarly. I believe his anger towards the Empire and his desire to defeat them to protect the galaxy will lead him to turn to Maul who promises him the power he seeks. At least that is what I hope for him as a character.

I don't like him all that much. Especially not in the first season, but the second one is not much better either, though we do see him grow. It's not even the way he's whining and just.. young, but I feel there is just no depth to him. Sure, we get the whole story about the parents, but I feel he's his real self only rarely, such as in the temple on Lothal, when we do see he cares and is not just a bratty kid.
