Old Ben felt a disturbance in the force, but he didn't know that Alderaan had been destroyed. Does Luke know that Han is dead by the start of Last Jedi?

I'd say, yes. But if not he will soon find out.

I think he does. He must feel his loved ones or at least felt Leia's pain.

    The Force is funny.

Places have special connections, force users can suppress force sensing, its magic man defies explanation.

Luke is stronger with the Force than Leia, so he likely felt the same thing that we saw Leia react to when it happened. It would interesting to me if Luke thought that maybe Leia had died, especially if he felt her reaction in addition to the actual event.

OK ya Old Knickerbockers (seriously that's where it comes from) we do not know when Leia learned of Han's death. Yes we see her impacted after Han dies but remember my OP. Obi-Wan doesn't know, specifically, about Alderaan when he feels the disturbance. He just knows that voices cried out and were silenced.

This is an interesting question. I think he does know that Han is dead, but as the Dark Side clouds everything, he probably doesn't know exactly how it went down.

I don't think Luke knows because it is said that TLJ will start exactly were TFA ended so unless they let us know he was so powerful that he felt in in the Force then there's no way he will know it until Rey or Chewie tells him in this movie.

Yes, he likely felt something deeply painful in the force and a short time later Rey shows up to him. He likely saw Rey fly in on the Falcon.

I think he knows Han is dead. Heck he may be outside meditating looking over the water when Rey arrives because he is thinking about his old friend for all we know. Honestly at this point, Luke is probably a really powerful Force user, probably one of the most powerful ever. I'm guessing the loss of a friend (of which Luke is in short supply at this point in his life) is something he could probably feel if he chose to.

Oh jesus, he knows something is wrong and then sees a stranger with the falcon. It's over, Luke knows.

Of course he does know, he has a twin sister which is connected to him trough the Force and we know she loved Han despite acting the other way and she is in pain. Lea felt the moment of his death from the other side of Galaxy and if Luke didn't felt it to he certainly felt Leas emotion.

I think via the Force, he strongly suspects something has happened to Han. Seeing Rey, the Falcon, then Chewy and R2 may be his final confirmation.

I thought Yoda and Obi-Wan only felt "something" was wrong and not known exactly what's happened. Luke could be asking Rey if Leia or Han are alright, then get confirmation and have a sad moment.

He knows something happened either through Leia's emotions or simply because Han, his best friend, suddenly disappeared from the Living Force. And when Falcon arrives without Han, there is no way around it. He most definitely knows.

Not only did he feel it but he probably foresaw visions of Han and Leia in pain.

If Leia could feel Han's death in the Force, I think Luke could have as well, especially since Luke is more powerful than Leia in the Force.
