    We all know there has been plenty of easter eggs in Star Wars. From references to THX 1138, to a group of E.T.s cheering in the Senate, they are always fun to seek out. So with the upcoming movie(s), there's no doubt that we are going to see more hidden secrets. My question is what kind of easter eggs should we expect? Personally, I would scream like a girl if JJ added a small reference to any of the Valve games, which he actually has done before.

    What do you think? :)

    I think if there are Easter Eggs they will be from Star Wars. SW is for some practically sacred. For JJ to come in and toss a funny bit in would smack of arrogant irreverence. At least for some. Not that I would take it that way I just think that JJ understands the trust he has been given and won't spend credibility with die hard fans on dropping in references that are un-related.

    There's one I mentioned briefly inside Maz's castle, there is a chalk drawing of Slave I on the wall on the Cantina/Bar area. Pretty sure this will be a little easter egg and/or nod to the next film.

    Easter eggs are sometimes funny, but they should use it wisely (minor ones) and not place it in front of the screen for all to see it the first time.
    I like it, when things are noticed later and when they grow and make a impression afterwards.
    The easter eggs should only be Star Wars based, there is enough material to choose from the OT and PT. (material from animated series also available)
    Props could be used in the backround or small references in dialog about characters/story-arcs from OT/PT, books or comics.
    It would be a nice touch if they pay tribute to the OT with small references in TFA, but in Ep.VIII they should enter a new and unknown territory without baggage.

    The OT had potatoes in the asteroid field, and there was a kitchen sink floating through space in ROTS. If they want to put something small in the background, (only noticeable by a freeze and zoom) then I think they can put anything in.

    Maybe she traveled through at some point (in the 35 years between Rebels and TFA)

    That's just a kind of weird similarity to Sabine drawing Cad Bane on the wall in her quarters. She's a bounty hunter fangirl xD

    Yeah the had a lot of those cattle things from Naboo in as asteroids too. But that was the old regime. I could be wrong but I don't see the crew treating the film so lightly. Don't get me wrong their will be Easter Eggs I just think they will be "in house."

    I think sometimes board animators sneak stuff in. I don't know if Lucas personally asked for the eopie to be in the asteroid field.
