SPECULATION Easter Eggs in TFA

He signed off enough to put references to in the making of vids.

 

I think someone posted this as a comment in the SW7news blog about Daniel Craig's rumored storm trooper character. Something along the lines of TK-007

 

JJ needs to tread lightly here. We all know he likes easter eggs and I've got no problem with that in general. But star wars is sacred. There's going to be a lot of people bitching if he gets too cute with this, like putting stuff from his other movies in as easter eggs. Stick to star wars only easter eggs and it's all fun. Put the enterprise in the background of some junk pile on Jakku and the purests will freak.

 

We can expect "Jub-Jub" somewhere.

 

I think Ezra's lightsabre might be hidden somewhere in the background on Jakku. They aren't going to give any roles or massive shout outs to rebels characters, but a easter-egg ezra sabre would please the fans.

 

If there are Easter eggs in TFA, they will be Star War's related. For example, the Millennium Falcon showing up in Ep. III docking by the Senate building (at least I think it was that building) in Coruscant. Maybe podracers will show up in Jakku in the scrapyard market scene. Things like this are most likely.

 

I'd keep an eye out for robots and ships from other scifi movies. CG guys like to drop things in just for fun.

 

i hope jj gives us a 3 frame trailer again that would be hilarious.

 

Maybe the infinity guantlet up for sale at the Jakku market.

 

Well, I guess for those out there who believe Jakku is Tatooine, a Rancor head in the Jakku market would be something.

 

If I was J.J., I would put the word "Ritz," or maybe a Ritz *******, somewhere in there (very subtly of course) as an homage to Regarding Henry. I believe that it was the first movie he ever wrote, and it was while he was in college. It's too perfect since Harrison Ford starred in that movie as well - it could be his own 1138.

Edit: Ritz ******* got bleeped out, haha. Well, I was talking about those chip like things made by Nabisco that are yummy to eat.

 

LOL that was me... but I posted it in the cantina in the thread I made 007 is a stormtrooper or something like that. But I realize my joke is wrong because its thx-number oh well

 

There was a "What Easter Eggs do you want to see in TFA a few months back. One of the things on my list was an homage to Regarding Henry. The turtle shell table.

 

No, you were right, THX 1138 was George's first film, based off of a film he did in college that also had THX 1138 in the name. I believe the original script had the storm trooper that wasn't at his post designated as THX-1138 but it was changed to TK-421 when it was filmed. TK-421 may have also been a police robot designation in THX 1138. But they also referenced the film by using cell block 1138 for the location tha they were transferring Chewie from.

If you need evidence of Easter eggs external to the Star Wars universe in the films, you have it right there in the original.

With that in mind though, I could see JJ putting some sort of reference to THX 1138 in the film as a nod to George.

 

id love to see easter eggs content that is only visible if you watch the film in the highest resolution.

 

I don't think it was the actual MF but a Corellian Freighter which the MF is but modified (super NVG system according to Lucas)

 

I love Regarding Henry, great flick, and JJ's first success. Would love to see Ritz or a Ritz ******* in there somewhere. And hilarious as well that the word ******* has been censored! Let's see if turkey makes it past the filter.

 

Seriously!?!? The word "*******" got bleeped out!?!? [in case it get's bleeped out, it's c-r-a-c-k-e-r] C'mon! I understand that as moderators of a site, you need to exercise political corrected in trying to make sure people aren't getting offended but given the context of how this word is use, this is too much (plus, there's the fact that it's actually the name of a type of cookie)!

 

A Kubaz. There's one in this film, I know in my heart of hearts there's a brief Easter Egg one in the background.

I want it on record I declared this first, so I can seem brilliant on the million to one shot it is true, hey a boy can dream.

I guess in this one there are "stealth cameos" too, people in masks and stuff, a kind of new Easter Egg where you guess which one of a group might be the celebrity.

The Cantina scene will be loaded with them and the Rebellion scenes will have all kinds, like a "Hall of Fame". Dermot Crowley (General Madine) sighting I predict, in the background there just to add credibility.

I think you'll see some prequel stuff in the salvage / junk piles on Jakku, the implication being they had pod races too.

That weird Assassin Droid spigget in the original Cantina will be used again just there somewhere in the background, again to add cred to everything.

I am almost positive Disney is going to suck the OT dry for everything it can to legitimize the next generation and that means Easter Eggs galore. And despite that statement I have some faith that it's actually going to work if only because that last trailer was just so good, better than any Star Wars trailer I'd seen in years.
