SPECULATION Easter Eggs in TFA

    If you guys are not just star wars nerds but also marvel nerds or any comic book nerd for that matter, I know you like seeing easter eggs in movies just as I do. Here's a quick question: with Disney now being in control of the star wars universe, and punching about a movie every year, will we find Easter Eggs in the upcoming movies? And I don't mean easter eggs that will simply lead to the next movie, but possibly easter eggs that confirm things or show things from certain EU pieces we have read and cherished. For example, Kylo Ren walking through his domain on a super star destroyer and in the background we see Revan and Nihilus' mask. It would be great to show easter eggs to whet our appetites like the MCU does with there marvel movies. It wouldn't pull or dilute the plot, yet it will inform us that there are great things to come. Let me know what you guys think!

    The special editions and prequels had EU easter eggs, but many are too subtle to notice without freeze frame. I'd bet my life there will be some references. JJ said that at one point the film had a lot more nods (I think to upcoming canon stuff) but said they didn't want to "have too many references to upcoming tv shows just for the sake of references".

    Some of it will prolly come from how much the staff like the EU. If JJ orders 10 aliens for a scene, maybe the creature shop would try to work in an-EU design.

    There's buzz about possible ewoks or an ewok in the movie. If so, there might be one or two milling about in a group of aliens. Maybe something more akin to the E.T.s in the Senate in TPM.
