Favorite Scene from the Original Star Wars Trilogy

Everything from Dagobah. Especially when Yoda explains the force and pulls the X-Wing from the swamp. Magical.

I don't mean to post my video too often, but I go into why Dagobah is brilliant -

I'm an obscure nobody trying to make a name for myself, I have to delve into the dark side (with horrible self promotion) to get anywhere with my content. But this video did come from a love of Star Wars, and one day I'll be making one about Return of the Jedi. Dagobah ties with Luke vs Vader (ROTJ) for best Star Wars scene. Love this scene.

 

All the clumsy yoda moments were mine, lmao. If they would've kept that going, he would've turned out to be a Jar Jar Binks! (Jedi Version)

 

The beginning of the Yavin Battle in the original OT. Where the x-wings lock airfoils into attack formation. The absolute best, still get tingles even after watching 200+ times hehe

 

"You've failed your Highness, I am a Jedi like my father before me." Aka Luke chooses possible death over evil and defies Palpatine to his face.

 

This is mine as well.

 

SOOOO tough to only pick one. Here are a few:
Battle/Escape from Cloud City
Speeder Chase in ROTJ
Intro to Light Saber 101(Cantina arm "amputation" scene)
Asteroid field chase

 

I have two. The first is duel of Cloud City. I love it for the amazing duel between Luke and Vader. The dark corridors, the carbonite chamber, and my favourite backdrop from the entire movie:

I absolutely adore this backdrop. The panels give off a sort of a very futuristic theme, and the lack of windows give a sense of no escape.

My second scene is the fight in Return of the Jedi. Everything works, the darkness, the Emperor, the Score is absolutely amazing.

 

This Cantina scene is my favourite, the introduction of Han Solo and the stand-off with Greedo.

A close 2nd is the Millennium Falcon reveal and the escape from Mos Eisley.

 

Favorite scene in the OT.
... hmmm ...
Three films = close to of not over 7 hours of Story.
Well ... like I, myself, cannot rate them, I'll go with ...

Yep. My favorite scene starts with the beginning credits of R1 and end with the end credits of RoTJ.

 

If I had to pick just one it would be the trench run in episode 4. Its still suspenseful, even after watching it many many times. Second would be the boarding of the Tantive iv.

 

I have way too many favorites to choose one, but I do really love this scene:

 

The opening scene in the original Star Wars.

Leia's ship is outflanked, outgunned, and ridiculously outsized by the Star Destroyer, but it still keeps fighting.

Without a single word of dialog George Lucas told us everything we needed to know about the Rebellion and the Empire.

It was my favorite opening scene for years, until Heath Ledger's Joker robbed the bank in the Batman movie.

 

This is my vote as one of the best out of the three movies. Powerful with great emotions. Loved how Han sucked up his pride and apologies to Leia, and the over all conversation and Luke telling Leia they are brother sister and their dad is the evil Darth Vader. Just a great part of Star Wars.
