Yes, that she is a lead hero, that doesn't mean she is the only lead hero, a movie can have many leads.

 

true, however Poe's X-Wing is dubbed "Hero Starfighter", so i thought with that distinction they were seperating Rey from the rest.

What do you think? Is Luke's screen time going to be limited by the scenes and the mystery of his whereabouts? Im sure there is another thread about this somewhere!

I wouldn't read too much into it either, but the speculation sure is fun!

 

Don't be jealous. Just make some babies, wait until they turn 4 years old, take them and live vicariously. I promise, the whole experience was so much better as a Daddy watching than it would have been as a kid.

There is most ASSUREDLY a growing concern from box office behemoth brands to provide more female protagonists.

Why? It's good business.

I don't want to go too deeply into a topic that sends some men stark raving mad about how the morality of the entire universe is collapsing because "feminism is stupid", but can we at least concede these moves are good for business?

The only agenda here is to sell young girls some cool toys and there's an awful lot of female Star Wars fans that are pretty happy right now and that in turn, makes me happy too.

I don't think the move suggests anything definitive about TFA other than the fact we're going to get more female characters, on both sides of the moral struggle and many of them are going to kick butt in combat. To some, that's somehow akin to tyranny, I think the rest of us though are going to have a lot of fun with it.

 

This is a clear sign that we are living in the world where women are empowered to be above men. Women are stronger than men and are more successful in our society. Men are now in serious decline.

Be aware though when you do have kids and you take them to Disneyland, they're going to see Darth Vader break dancing. I warn you because I was not mentally prepared for this image myself when I took them there all those years ago. It's far more disturbing than watching Rey grow into a Jedi over three films I assure you.

 

Well... I have no living children, so I have to make due with nieces and nephews...

 

There weren't any "Dancing Darths" when I was there a few months ago... They were strictly in character, especially Maul who needed to back away and stop torments younger siblings of the young Jedi who were watching in the crowd...

 

There's also a show though, and it resembles a bad church revue and storm troopers dancing. At least there was when I was there. The Vader costume itself though was really quite good.

 

I have seen YouTube videos of the show you are talking about... just awful. I think they scrapped it though, as we were looking for any and everything Star Wars while we were there...

 

Whatever we saw was a mess, but little kids were going nuts and loved it. Even my kids were too old for it though. Anyway it demonstrates what the theme park does with the brand the films don't pay much attention to. Was the rumor that there is a whole new Star Wars section in both major parks coming true, or just a rumor anyone know? A cool "Space Mountain" type X-Wing ride would kick butt.

 

I doubt it everybody is equal, you are making yourself very unpopular I suggest you turn back..
