Force trees in episode 8?

If you prize ‘lore’ over ‘story’, then I can certainly see your point of view. As a movie lover first though, I care more about the latter. They enhance the saga for me about as much as a ‘coexist’ bumper sticker enhances a Toyota Prius.

 

I was thinking that the tree may hide a hidden entrance to a epic cave/temple beneath the surface. Or it's a place where the force is focused. It's not a source but like the dark cave on Dagobah it could be a place strong in the force and help focus it and help in Rey's training. If it's strong in the dark side of the force it could also mask Luke's presence on the island like the cave did for Yoda and be used to test a young Jedi's inner fears and desires.

 

People interacting with trees... I have a bad feeling about this.

They wouldn't interact with the tree any more than they would a cave... it's just a place... or an object like Anakin's Lightsaber.

i am sure old George already made force trees cannon.... Yoda's house? Cartoons? Ewok movies?

Yes it makes perfect sense VADER brought balance to the force!

a.Killing off the jedi
b.Killing off the sith

Only leaving Luke and Leia with the force.

TFA we see more force people because the force had time to regenerate it into new borns over the 30 years.

 

The ‘force trees’ are definitely canon (Shattered Empire, issue 4). The only question is where they’ll be turning up next.

 

Heartwarming. It's a shame countless billions had to die for this precious force to be balanced.

The Force Tree was already canon in The Clone Wars if i am not mistaken

TCW made it canon that there was a tree at the temple. It was SE that flat out stated that 'the force was with it' - whatever the hell that means.

The Force, as I interpret it, is neither inherently ‘good’ or ‘bad’. It just is. Like gravity. When it’s causing you to fall to your death, it’s pretty bad. But when it’s preventing you from flying off into the endless abyss of space, it’s pretty damn good. It’s all perspective. The Force needs what it needs. If that incidentally results in mass suffering and death . . . well, bummer, I guess. Better luck next time.

 

If the force tree thing is true ( IF ! ) it appears that the boy is Snoke and the girl is Rey. So Snoke is there for a huuuuuuuge amount of time and the boy in the corridor is that boy too.

 

I thought originally the boy was Jake Lloyd..... oh wait....

The boy is Snoke, the tree is Rey....well reincarnated into Daisy Ridley.
One Skywalker is coached by the boy, and the tree is coached by Luke.

Mr. Miyagi is in charge of force trees. It will be explained in more detail inthe Karate Kid: The Force Tree Awakens. Daniel san must go find the last one and protect it.

 

I dunno if it will be in the movie or not but after seeing it in the comic I think it would be nice to see in a movie.

 

If true, does that mean acorns are the Sequels' answer to what are midichlorians?

 

Maybe we will see lightsabers crafted with Force wood from Force trees.
