Watched a few today- I like it.

Kinda reminds me of Saturday morning cartoons from the early eighties.

I suspect the notion of short, rapid-fire episodes will also appeal to my daughter- (5yrs.old). We'll see soon enough.

    --

I think I've caught them all - except the third one(?) The Ahsoka ones are pretty enjoyable, actually.

Really enjoying this series. Unlike The Freemaker Adventures, this series deserves a Blu-ray release hopefully.

IN the recent episode "The Imposter Inside", I just loved the sweet little bit of Padme with hr hand on her hip at the end. Very pretty!

Personally Iam enjoying the Leia ones the most (Apart from the voice but that's a minor nitpick) then the Rey ones. The Ashoka ones are ok but I was never a major CW watcher so it a bitter harder to se where they fit into that series.

What is going on with today's episode? Anyone knows? I am not on social media so maybe someone heard something.

That is agenuinely good question. No one from Lucasfilm's Story Group mentioned it on Twitter, so I guess they'll release it tomorrow...?

This Monday couldn't be better - Bounty in Trouble came while I was watching The Stranger... As far as I know another 8 episodes won`t be aired on Youtube this fall, right?

That last one was actually pretty good. It kinda bugged me how Leia had the data tape in her hand plain as day when the stormtroopers cut through the wall, but they still all went after IG-88. Otherwise, it's probbaly the best non-Ahsoka short, in my opinion.

The most interesting thing for me about these is the choice of Maz as narrator. That hints of something to come to me

She has at least one short to herself - I believe that one of the behind-the-scenes reels showed what she looked like in this art style.

EDIT: Ah, yes! Here she is.

I get the feeling that she'll be the narrator of the television special, which ought to link the shorts together into some kind of narrative.

I watched it all and well.. It's for small kids. If they enjoy the show - it does it's job. As an adult viewer, I don't find it interesting. All the episodes follow the same pattern: brief introduction, big "action set piece", brief resolution... They're too similar and bring very little to the table if you ask me, but again - it's tailored for children. It's okay it's canon, but I hope they'll stick to very small scale stories if there's more to come. It's not a proper medium to develop any significant aspects of the lore.

I have to say, though, it's not very good visually... To be blunt - it looks like flash animation. The style they were aiming at is fine, but the execution leaves much to be desired. The colouring is really bad IMO and the faces are pretty much dead (creatures look cool, though). Proper shading would improve the look of it greatly, but as it is, it looks amateurish.

Overall, I have zero problems with a show like this existing, even though it does nothing to me. If it helps getting little girls into Star Wars - great. As I said - the target audience should be happy with it first and foremost. Let's not forget it's also a good toy marketing tool. I kind of roll my eyes a little bit when I see grown fans hyping it up, but whatever. ;)

it seems silly to me to make any star wars property aimed at only a segment of the audience.

Well... Star Wars is more than big 'nuff to be marketed to all manner of folks and in all manner of ways... already has been bein' and still is bein' now.

Nothin' wrong with it... It's More Star Wars... for All Of Us.

Not saying all Star Wars needs to be a big budget movie or tv show on Disney.

I find it silly to market just to girls (just like I would find it silly to market only to boys, or only black people or only gay people). I think they should focus on and put their resources into making the best material they can - period. And the PEOPLE who like it and are interested will be fans, and the ones who don't.......won't.

Its ridiculous to 1) try to engineer your audience - "there should be more girls into Star Wars"....why? The girls who like it will be fans. Same with boys. 2) I don't get how the conversion works. How many girls out there who have no interest in the 16 or so hours of Star Wars feature films are going to watch these 2-3 minute cartoon episodes and be converted? If they were interseted they'd already have checked it out.
