    Because it seems like they didn't think this through completely, to be frank.

    Disney did not count on the leaks, and I think it was a huge failure on their part not to factor that into the equation. Disney is dealing with one of the most dedicated fandoms on the planet and toy leaks were a huge part of the lead-in to the Prequel Trilogy. Most of the information covered in the stream was stuff we already knew about placed between a cringe sandwich.

    If they had done this stream about a week or two ago, even with the glacial pace that it went at, then I think that it would have worked. Most of the toys were still under wraps at the time, and it's not like they reveal any huge spoilers, so discussing them then would have been fair game. Then they could have enticed audiences by promising a TV Spot on September 3.

    I am seriously baffled at whoever thought that fans would get more excited by this event than new footage. I am severely disappointed with Disney right now. (And I know it won't last and I will immediately start kissing the ground J. J. steps on as soon as the next batch of footage is released, but right now, but as it stands they quite frankly aren't selling the movie very well in the past two months.)

    So Del Toro says he starts filming in March for Episode 8... but Skelling shoot is September... are they filming for 8 months or will they be taking large breaks between shoots?

    I am sure people posted this somewhere on the forum, but I don't see it and I just discovered it and I am excited, so I am sharing it anyway. :D

    All three junior novel (about Luke, about Han and about Leia) have a prologue occurs briefly before the events of Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens.

    I think they'll film the Skelling stuff for a week or two now (which will likely only include Daisy and Mark and a small crew) and then they'll take a break and start OFFICIAL production in early 2016.... mostly to allow all the actors to participate in the marketing and press of Force Awakens.

    I don't know about you guys... but I loved everything I saw from TFA (in terms of design) up until we started seeing the toy reveals of speeders. The designs look so generic! I like Rey's speeder... but Poe's, special forces speeders, & the speeder platforms just look like someone took no time to think about the design.

    I just saw the new heavy storm trooper mounted gun & I think that looks very uninspired as well. Compare to the Snowtrooper heavy guns... you guys know what I mean?

    It just seems strange to me... because the designs for the first order troopers are amazing... they really went to town on those & a lot of the creatures we've seen.

    Agree. I like Rey's speeder a lot, but the speeders/the standing walkers are pretty uninspired. I'm hoping once I see them in action I'll warm up to their design.
