I agree its star wars and where there are lightsabers some one will loose an arm i just hadnt read Finn looses an arm anywhere. ( wanted a link if you had one )

 

Hmmm...I thought I'd be more excited to see TFA trailer...

 

I'm thinking we won't see Unkar Plutt in this film, much like Jabba in the UnSpecial OT. He'll just be one of those mentions that give us a sense of a 'bigger picture' type villain.

But the lack of any dialogue is just ridiculous at this point.

Hmmm, I'm not sure. According to the set rumours of the time, Simon Pegg's character has his arm(s) ripped of by Chewie. Unless of course Chewie is on Jakku too?

 

I believe that was King3000 not Yoda 2.

 

Have we had any evidence that Maz's castle isn't on Jakku? I'm wondering if all the aliens from the Vanity Fair shoot are all on Jakku and not Takodana as I thought.

He also describes as everyone rushes outside of the bar to see a small moon destroyed in the sky. My guess is that they're on Jakku and the moon is actually the local star being destroyed by the Star Killer weapon.

 

It's not on Jakku. Unless there is a forest on Jakku...

 

What evidence do you have its on Takodana? I always assumed it was on Takodana too but actually, when I look I can't find any evidence.

 

That's because they aren't giving us any evidence, of anything.

They look like very similar styled buildings to me... same kind of construction and materials typically means the same planet or faction. Given that there are trees and grass outside, I think it's safe to say that it's not on Jakku... unless of course the people who originally built these stone buildings were spread across the Galaxy.

And while I can't speak for all the patron's in Maz Kanata's castle, the BTS video showed us this:

In similar images (with clapperboards or whatever the cool kids call them these days), we learn that scene #3 shows stormtroopers inside a landing craft (as seen in the first teaser), scene #v34 takes place somewhere on Jakku, as does scene #36 (from the first day of shooting, most likely taking place in the Trading Post set), and scene #69C shows Finn in the dunes wearing his white armour, sans helmet and clutching Poe's jacket in one hand.
The video also gave us a shot from inside the Millennium Falcon during scene #123, and another with Leia in the Resistance base in scene #161.
Most of these support a set of scene #s released by MSW in March, (with maybe one or two inconsistencies) months before a lot of this was revealed to the general fandom.
Unless something changes in editing, the scene numbers are pretty much a chronological order of events in the film, but even if you only look at the officially released #s, you can see that the first 100 or so scenes takes place on Jakku...

... by the time they get to scene #178, we should be off Jakku.

Not sure how that proves Chewie isn't on Jakku... but Harrison Ford and Peter Mayhew were never on set in Abu Dhabi, (Ford's first day on set was at Pinewood, and Mayhew was with his family in London while filming was taking place in Abu Dhabi) which significantly decreases the chances either of them being there.
