I know Mark Hamill and Daisey Ridley were said to be on the Skellig Michael set but was anyone else? Looking at the location I can easily see this as some type of place of seclusion for Luke. It's pretty damn secluded in real life. I was thinking though, looking at all of the stone huts built atop Skellig what if Luke is there with his students? It may be possible for Luke and his Jedi Apprentices to reside in a sort of spiritual solitude.
Skellig Michael has to be one of the coolest shooting locations in SW ever regardless of how it's used.

Sometimes I think of that as being similar to the planet where the Jedi Temple was hidden on Star Wars: Rebels. Looks pretty close to a real life version of that planet in some ways, especially that episode “Path of the Jedi”. I wouldn’t mind Luke using that same temple. Wouldn’t alienate fans that hadn’t seen the show.

Yea bro. That is gonna be amazing to see on screen. I'm gonna be freaking out. I hope they got it at sunset or foggy, anything to make it seem mystic and dark (er).

It's the location shooting they did like this that is going to take this film to the next level. I'll bet the Skellig scenes end up being some of the most iconic in the ST.

I agree. I can see these scenes being very well adaptable to SW style in filming. Going to be really cool. I just hope when we finally get a new trailer that it shows a little.

We are all eagerly awaiting a new more detailed trailer. I think it is a safe bet to expect it during the Avengers movie in May

Hell yes. I can see it now. I hope they show the falcon gliding (like it does so well) over the ocean with the approaching silhouette of the island. Then gliding though the foggy crevices with the eerie classic John Williams score.(falcon)

Yea it's gonna be a sec. But, I'm good and nestled in for the wait. blast, thank god for the cantina!

    Speculating again...
So I read the news about the Max Von Sydow concept art with him looking more like a grandfather "Ben" type of person, completely un-cyborg, seated in the "employees only lounge" of the Cantina.

At any rate, I wanted to try to move away frorm the "Sydow is cyborg" or "Sydow is gravedigger" idea for a moment. I read in the comments section of a site somewhere where someone mentioned that the mouth of the gravedigger looks like a female's. I fished around the net for pictures of Gwendoline Christie and used photoshop to compare with the gravedigger. Just speculating away in my idle time. ;-)

As I thought more and more, it started to make sense. Rey vs. Christie. The new battle of SW* is between two women.

*EDIT: Perhaps it will be Kylo Ren vs Finn, and Rey vs Christie? Or is that too gender focused?

Not only that, it has been assumed that the Sith Inquisitor Christie was also the Chrometrooper. But I think the following makes more sense: the Sith Inquisitor is the gravedigger. She has grafted Vader's hand onto her body. She wears Vader's mask...without ANY modifications.

The Chrometroopers are an elite group of Stormtrooper warriors, no more.

So who is Adam Driver then? I agree with everyone that he is in the teaser trailer and he is Kylo Ren and he is the guy who's going to be wearing the mask with the yellow stripes. That mask is a modified form of Vader's mask after Christie doesn't need it anymore (ie DEAD).

Yo! I was wondering about that upper lip myself. However, the other concepts of the same character don't look feminine at all.

Ok, here's another "exercise". Splinter of the Mind's Eye is still fairly obscure for casual SW fans, and it is not canon, so I wonder if JJ or one of the writers for VII might have borrowed some ideas from it. Here's a lengthy paste of the summary from Wiki:

There is also Luke/Leia romantic sub-plot to that book.

A 4chan post claimed the plot was basically Splinter of the Mind's Eye. Of course a major issue with the plot provided (amongst many other ones) is that he left no room left for sequels because Luke "absorbed the dark side of the force"

Mmmmmmm splinter of the minds eye issss ooook. But it's not great. It makes wonder all the more what is what in SW7. I feel it's gonna kick some ass. It seems like SW has an edge again. So what ....the force wakes up for like two minutes only to have Luke "absorb" the dark side? I see the sequel now....SW dark side intermission. Or, the sith on strike!

Well... kaiburr crystals have come up a lot recently, Ezra getting a shard in Rebels for instance. And the kaiburr crystal is considered a relic... it can be used to craft a powerful saber, and one shard was notably red... SotME involved prison and a crash landing... there are many similarities of its plot with what we have heard of TFA

Do you think Ezra's saber blaster is a hint at the kylo ren saber/blasters rumor?
