One thing i would like to see in Episode VIII

Kylo Ren killing Snoke, fulfilling his grandfather task, completing his path and becoming Sith nº 1

(just consider the possibilities if this came thru)

 

I've never seen it .

 

JJ himself stated how much audience expectation shaped how he approached the story's structure. The internal motivations were fresh (and much more nuanced than the OT, imo) but the external motivations were Ep. IV all over again. It was formulaic in both this sense and the hero's journey (which shaped Episode IV).

Avengers 2 was developed in less time (!) and that felt even more overwrought.

I enjoyed the film -- a lot.

To its credit, the film succeeded most when it broke the mold of Episode IV (empathizing with a stormtrooper? a woman who speaks with another woman about her own narrative journey?)

This leaves Episode VIII without the conceit of having to reintroduce old characters and, instead, develop them into deeper, more nuanced ones.

 

Let's not get into "Frozen" territory . And

 

In Ep8:

Obviously we will see THE rematch.

I think Kylo will take round 2. He'll be even more bad ass.

Luke will step in and fight to save Rey from loosing her hand/arm/limb. (This would be their nod to all the hands lost)

He maybe even be killed by Kylo - Ep8's heavy emotional hit.

In Ep9:

They write it so the falcon has to be destroyed in order to save Finn/Rey/Poe/all of the above.

Chewy saves them by going down with the Falcon. This is an Epic orchestrated scene - Ep9's heavy emotional hit.

Kylo will be beaten down emotionally and physically, worn out, struggling with his feelings towards the Force.

He will find out he's being exploited by Snoke.

This will set up a 'whole new outlook on life'

He eventually redeems himself to the light side and fights along side Rey to foil Snokes plans.

Kylo and Rey: Han's son and Luke's daughter vs Snoke. That would be epic.

I can picture the scene right now:

Rey standing, beat up and tired, breathing heavy, facing Snoke with Kylo in the background, also tired, maybe on one knee, gets up turns towards Snoke and walks up to Rey, standing at her side, ready to fight.

Epic.

A child who was raised as a sith, redeems himself to the light, honoring his father and his uncle, fights along side Rey and lives to become the first 'grey' Jedi.

Epic.

 

Interesting! This gave me goosebumps. If this all were to go as planned, I think Ben will either sacrifice himself in the end, or stay dark, so him and Rey can balance the force.

 

I think about it and it sounds like a heavy emotional one, if it happens.

 

Why do I want this now! Why does this sound so amazing to me.

That would make me lose my mind like the scene with Rey and the lightsaber in TFA.

 

Don't know if this was posted here. But apparently Lando will make an appearance in episode 8...Or at least Billy Dee Williams in some form.

This article is from last March. Last we heard from Billy Dee (around the time of of the premiere, I think), he said he hadn't been contacted by anyone.

 

Damn it. I saw this on another forum just today - thanks for information. Still, it would be nice to have him in the next installment of the trilogy.

 

I'd like to see Kylo/Rey team-up to defeat Snoke only for Kylo to get Snoke out of the way..

Then in X, XI, XII I could easily see Disney making Kylo's character Vader 2.0 because it's too lucrative and seductive to just let such a character RIP

 

Don't expect Snoke to die until 9.

 

I would think Chewie would have died by having a planet fall into him .
