But letting them know important plot points when they're being really secretive ?

 

They may have told him about big questions everyone will be asking but not enough details to spoil the public. Correct me if I'm wrong, but did he really spoil anything?

 

Yeah that podcast really seem to feel pretty strongly about reading a romantic arc there! I just acknowledge some of the symbolism that rhymes with first peoples mythologies and which could be legitimate regardless of whether anything romantic develops.

The podcast defends itself by citing profssional film critics (Time magazine, Reverse Shot) which have also read subtext into scenes and not just the Reylo day-dreamers. I, on the other hand, can completely understand how people who feel Rey's mistreatment strongly can find images suggesting a romantic link both saddening and offensive.

 

Being the OT gave RJ some ideas on how to use him again, good move.

 

I think he's going by simple logic. There will be an episode IX, so, there will be many unresolved issues at the end of VIII. Hence his saying 'cliffhangers'.

 

I listened to half of this and already it's really interesting and worth taking the time. Anyone who dismisses it as "Reylo crap" before even clicking it is off the mark. It's not that at all.

Yeah, I sure he only knows small bits that he was part of. I imagine only the scenes where they reveal things would be with those actors involved with the scenes.

 

I can't wait to be surprise when they come.

I saw this report that people saw on the set that Daisy Ridley was wearing a green sleeve on her right arm, suggesting that she could be loosing it some time during the movie....anyone really surprised about this?

 

This was first reported a long time ago...it could maybe be a misreport sort of like adam driver on Qatar but I think it could be highly likely since Rey is the only one who truly ended the movie on a high note
..

 

That is the hardest part when I read articles like this, you never know if it is new or old stuff.

because it is not a Star Wars until someone says "I have a bad feeling about this" and someone else loses a limb.

 

Apart from Rey losing a hand, I wonder what the physical appearance of Finn will be. Remember, the guy not only got stabbed in the shoulder but he seemed to have lost his entire backbone via red lightsaber. I picture him looking like Cyborg on Teen Titans. Wouldn't that be neat?

 

If that actually happens in VIII then it's pretty much guaranteed she's a Skywalker. Lol.

 

Oh man it's deja vu with that one.

 

I would be delighted if she lost a hand. (I know that sounds revolting the way I worded it.) Losing an appendage will help solidify the belief Rey is a Skywalker on the ultimate hero's journey. It's the only TESB copy-cat moment I am actually looking forward to seeing...

.. However, I am highly skeptical to this news source who leaked the "report" of Ridley wearing the green thing over her hand. Filming concluded ages ago. If authentic, would this not have been reported sooner?

 

Does Kylo take her hand? Maybe that would shut up some of the "Rey is overpowered, Kylo is a weenie" folks.

 

Rey bested Kylo in TFA. He was then taken to Snoke to complete his training. I can see him giving Rey a good thrashing in 8 and then his final defeat in 9. I hope he dies without any kind of redemption arc. Put down like a rabid dog.



Luke was prepared to die with the Emperor on the Death Star. I think he and Snoke are going to go out together. Rather then anything bad ass I'd like to see both broken and spent and just having a casual philosophical discussion as they accept their fate and everything comes crashing down around them. Kind of like the end of
