i can't think of places that would actually look "alien" in the us besides the desert. But also, it would come down to where they also get the most tax incentives to shoot in the US most likely because it can get pretty expensive. But disney probably doesnt care

hmmm 'heard of her, but never met her'. This leaves room for Rey as Luke's kid, if he really kept his life very private. It also leaves the option of Rey as another prophecy + random. This leaves zero chances for her to be a Solo.

 

Yep I know, JJ likes to be cryptic every chance he does this. That's what I thought, Skywalker bells where ringing in my mind at the time but then I thought Luke couldn't keep her private as she would have remembered her time in the order, it would be cruel if he force wiped her memory but I guess he couldn't take the chance of her knowing. The Solo idea vanished like lightspeed when her fist meeting with Han took place, no father/daughter reconciliation whatsoever,I wouldn't even give Kenobi a shot.

 

There seems to be more Star Wars filming within the United States in recent years, probably due to rising costs of lugging around filming equipment internationally. Back in the early 80s, American fans made a big deal when Episode VI was filmed in California (Endor scenes.) Much of Jakku could have been shot in places like the Mohave desert.

hmmm, this points more and more to a B-plot by Finn, Poe and KMT on Casino planet + the A plot of Luke and Rey on Act-to. Sounds as if Luke never leaves Ach-to.

 

Personally I have no issue if Finn and Rey don't reunite until Ep IX. Something about the idea even excites me. Will make their reunion that much more meaningful.

 

Still two good possible scenes to position the characters.

 

I don't believe Rey and Luke stay on Ach-To.

But I do believe it seems that like TESB the characters will split up and go on their own journies; then either reunite near the end, or in 9.

 

I wonder if this rumor of the locals is still a thing, they said Ireland shots would be around the first 10 minutes of the movie.

So what if it is like ESB begnning, Rey & Luke doing some stuff on Ach-to, then the KoR + Kylo appear like the attack of the empire in ESB and they are on the run from then on. The B plot is with Leia, Poe, Finn and KMT. Maybe they hear of the attack and search them or they have another mission going on about a traitor in the resistance etc. They all may meet on Dubrovnik planet or a different location/planet done at Pinewood.

I personally don't believe this, because if I'm not mistaken, Path of the Jedi is a ride at Disney is it not? but sharing with the community nevertheless.

That's pretty good names, but I don't think they would reveal EP IX title so soon. We're about three years from the release. But I really liked the titles.

 

I like 'Path of the Jedi', but 'Rise of the First Order' not that much. There are so many movies these days which include the term 'rise' in the title.

I'm sure these titles are fake anyways...

I'm not sure, but that may be true about the first ten minutes.

I think that does happen. I remember and have to find it but there was a rumor before TFA came out that Luke and Rey were attacked at the end or something.

Possibly after Kylo and company comes to Ach-To they may escape after the fight maybe.

 

this is interesting and never heard it before. It is in the German description for the new 3D version of Force Awakens and they speak there about former script versions and in one version Luke was intented to be blind.....hmmm....if they grabbed the idea for Chirrut instead?
