    Hayden is horrible. But casting.him for Anakin was GL fault.
    And using the young spirit of Anakim wont make sense at all. If theres an Anakin spirit.to.appears.in the sequels they must.show some CGI of Sebastian Shaw.
    After the great work they did with Tarkin and Leia.in RO, everything is.posible.

    They wouldn't do that because it's not canon that he was old; Anakin looks like Hayden as a ghost because that's how he was when he "died..." Obi-Wan and Yoda were old when they passed away ebcause that was how they looked as jedi on the light side when it happened.

    I like the CGI Shaw idea.

    I'm thinking Kylo has never spoken to his grandfather. What Kylo heard was either Snoke or the thing in Wild Space that was calling to Palpatine.

    Regarding the whole "you look exactly as you did when you die" thing about Force spirits... Obi-Wan's cameo in TFA has basically disproven that. And if we see Obi-Wan in this next movie, then you'd better believe that it's going to be Ewan McGregor and not a digital recreation of Alec Guiness.


    I'd personally prefer Matt Lanter, in all honesty, as he far and away gave a better performance as the character. But I think Hayden Christensen makes a lot more sense due to the fact that he's the only actor that most people would recognize as an adult Anakin. To me, it would be a greater disservice to Star Wars to not have Anakin play a role in a story where he'd still fit, simply because his actor isn't popular, than it would be to include him and bring up memories about an awkwardly-delivered exchange over how sand is bad.

    He was certainly taken aback at first, but then he understood the reasons. Now, he likes to make fun of the fact that he had no lines. And, considering he was paid insane amount of money for a couple of days of work and promised bigger role in VIII and IX, I doubt he was and is unhappy.

    they actually used both ewan AND Alec and combined the dialogue. Also, that doesn't disprove anything since ewan can mimick Alec's voice and eprsonality in a VO role even.

    yeah that is true, i agree...ewan is so similar to Alec and they have a similar structure as well as only a decade or so in similar age from ROTS and ANH that, with some make up/prosthetics and VFX, McGregor could portray him easily.
