Yeah Rian confirmed this when he posted this BTS pic the week that the TLJ SWCO panel was announced.

Is it possible if we don't get a second teaser? I'm only asking because I think this resembled TFA's second teaser and they obviously didn't put out more out after that. Or could they make it work like they did for Rogue One but I also think we're already familiar with these characters as opposed to R1.

 

I think it's very possible this is our last teaser or trailer for quite some time.
They don't have to build a hype machine like they did with TFA to test the base.

It's there now.

A few months out, we will get a real full trailer.
Then at the beginning of December a second one.

 

I think we might just get one last in in October As long as it's good though I can't really complain I'm just too impatient:/

 

Can someone here.point it out the differences between the troopers from TFA and the troopers from TLJ? I read that they changed a little, but I am not able to identify. Tks.

But anyways the most important edit is this one.

Cut from two different parts in the interview. You can tell, the sentence, voice analysis are clipped together

That is again, clever editing and fully scripted from ABC- Disney. They probably did not like how TFA was nearly guessed completely, from the severed hand in space etc.. to the storyline.

Wouldn't even be surprised that the pictures that were leaked of the Millenium Falcon by the force tree in England were set-ups.
As if a bunch of kids would wonder in onto a completely empty lot in the middle of one of the most heavily guarded sets in history.

I have to tell you, I'm happy about this though. The surprise everyone is waiting for in this one will be all the better for it.

 

I'm assuming we're going to follow Rogue One's promotion: another teaser in the summer (July/August) and a full trailer in the fall (Oct/Nov). If not, perhaps just a BTS reel in the summer?

I'm sure they will want to show us more before Force Friday in September so I imagine another teaser in the summer would suffice.

Personally I'm really hoping we get another Vanity Fair issue next month. Either way, I'm sure we will be getting some sort of surprises come May 4th!

 

I agree that we will get another one this summer and then the final one in the fall. I would expect EW to have a big SW issue in June or July like they have had for the other movies

 

well the teaser trailer is certainly interesting..
i think that there is some tricky editing going on in there, or similarly to TFA's first teaser trailer, the line Hamill speaks wont be included in the film at all.
either way its causing huge reactions.. thats obviously the purpose.
so, thoughts on whether this movie will spell the end of the Jedi, perhaps ushering in a new type 'faction'? rumours out there saying Luke has happened upon Whills knowledge (perhaps that book with the Jedi symbol is soemthing from the Whills). or, maybe Luke is simply disillusioned and the line is spoken early in the film, before Rey (or Leia) convinces him to not give up on the Jedi (plural, this time ). maybe a third option, with wording simply just being finnicky - the JEdi become something different, more 'gray'. the whole gray/grey thing kind of ruffles my jimmies because ive always liked the duality of polar opposites and SW has basically been about that. and with the Force being what it is, i find it hard to believe that 'grey/gray' is going to be any different or accomplish anything different than what has come before. grey/gray still leaves open the possibility for someone to be seduced to the dark side. aaand then the same problems persist. maybe theyre going a Jolee route with Luke in this one (KOTOR)/
thoughts?

 

The dates for the trailers of TFA were November 28 (2014), April 16, and October 18, but there was a behind-the-scenes video on July 10. The dates for the three trailers of R1 were: April 7, August 11 and October 13. With the release of the trailer on April 14, I guess they will follow a similar pattern for TLJ, with another trailer or a behind-the-scenes video in July (Comic-Con or D23) and a final trailer in October.

The colors worn by the actors on The Last jedi panel at SWCO. Look carefully.



We have Mark Hamill in Black ''It's time for the jedi... to end'' (OMG is luke turning to the darkside? lol)

John Boyega in Black and white. (First Order Stormtrooper, is he going back?) (lol) (even the back of his jacket had a black block on it)

Daisy Ridley in Sith red. You can draw your own conclusions.

and Kelli Marie Tran ( Sweet, in blue, ''i'm a resistance fighter'') (uhuh)

Normally that is subliminal and you were not supposed to pick that up other than subconsciously.

Just some of the ways they are throwing us completely off the tracks.

 

A good catch with the costumes. They can hint at something or make us think that they hint at something but I'm sure they're not accidental.

It's pretty obvious, and Lucas never pretended otherwise, that the concept of the Force is based on the Chinese philosophy of Yin and Yang. If you understand that, then you understand that the force is not good or evil, it is both. Yin and Yang are not separate; they create, interconnect and depend on each other.

The difference is in the users of the force, their intention and the extent to which they allow the force to take over their nature.

I believe this film will see Luke rediscovering or having rediscovered the true nature of the force without the dogmatic, indoctrination of the Jedi/Sith dichotomy.

I find preatty obvious that the 6 movies GL made, show us 2 kind of uses of the Force (which is one).

But he never said that balance is putting together the 2 of them or use them both.

In addition the Journal talks about the Difference (light/dark) Made Right by a refined Jedi Sight.

There's not mention at all of the balance in the Journal quote.
At this stage it's just an assumption (many have made) that balance = gray (or bendu).

Only GRAY is mentioned in the quote.. but (and that's the point to me) as what has to be RESOLVED.

However I guess we only have to wait and see

 

I completely agree. As I've said in another thread, as far as the whole balance/prophecy thing, RJ and the storygroup have a completely clean slate and can interpret it any way they like - and as we've seen in the rejection of GL's EpVII treatment, they're not afraid to take the ball and run their own way with it. Hopefully there won't be the same, clumsy retconning of the PT, but everything we've seen recently in TFA, R1, Rebels is all pointing to a much richer, broader concept of the Force than just the very simple dark/bad/Sith, light/good/Jedi that we've seen in the OT and PT.
