    i remember that john campea said a long time ago that when Rian took over there was an increasing chance of set-visits for media. i think he even said they were in the initial stages of talks for colider to go on set at some point. It was only JJ that was super strict in every dept.

    Actually it's the opposite for VIII...I had a similar opportunity to visit something (can't say what) recently but they cracked down unless you're EW or something...Collider wouldn't get as far as a premiere / character reveal unless they were just that big (I'm not saying I'm big by any means for the record)

    I know that KK has hinted that she would be back, but she seems to be the first character whose fate was undecided that has explicitly confirmed she will be back. I am not sure whether Han Solo and Lor San Tekka will indeed appear in Episode VIII as has been suggested. And, as fas as I can tell, their presence in Episode VIII has not been so unequivocally confirmed as CG did confirm hers.

    Found an interesting video that covers a potential leaked plot for VIII.
    SPOILER WARNING!!

    It has super crappy sources but it seems like it could be a legit script. Although Rian Johnson did a rewrite, I really like the direction that this plot is heading... It may not be 100% true but I'm still going to give everyone a warning for potential spoilers!

    It's from MoviePilot. I glimpsed at that article and it looked a lot like fanfiction as opposed to an actual synopsis.
    Yeah, it's f---ing fake.

    Beyond that, however, are the numerous plot inconsistencies. The First Order already knew where D'Qar was because they were about to blow it to smithereens with Starkiller Base. Because of this, it isn't likely that the Resistance would stay there in the same sense that the Rebel Alliance wouldn't stick around on Yavin IV. The New Republic is not mentioned as being a part of the war effort, which is unbelievable considering that the First Order outright declared war on them and blew up billions of their citizens. Kylo Ren already knew about his grandfather and didn't need a senator to explain who he was. Rey wouldn't need to build her own lightsaber because she's already using Luke's old one (and it is likely that Luke's newer lightsaber is still around, presuming he even needs it). Speaking of which, Luke's original lightsaber is never mentioned. Neither is Maz Kanata, who clearly specified that the weapon was important. Lando doesn't actually do anything, and neither does his daughter. Luke and Rey already have a ride situated on Ahch-To, and that's the Millennium Falcon - they have no need for a small shuttle to take them wherever. On that note, Chewbacca wouldn't be present with Finn and Poe because he's stationed on Ahch-To with R2-D2 and the aforementioned ship. And Rey running off with everyone being completely fine with that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

    And also...quite awful sounding. Definitely, and at that, not very good, fanfiction, is what this sounds to me.

    Hm, there are so many obvious problems...Snoke being Palpatine is just ridiculous. For the Resistance to go back to D'Qar would be just stupid. The FO knew the Resistance is there from ep. 7. Why would Luke conceal Rey is his daughter from her? It's not like it would be a big dark secret that changes things dramatically...I would understand if Kylo would be revealed as Rey's brother and that to have an impact, but cousins...Where is the big drama in that?!

    Furthermore, all the plot described would most likely amount to only 35 minutes of film - maybe 45 at most. That would be about a third of a movie.

    Good point! The problem with this fake plot is that it's all over the place. None of it seems to connect with the character's stories so far.
