Not in the way we'd think. He talked about holding one again, and he does, but does he use one? That's what he hasn't said directly to people. I hope he does though. I think everyone wants to see it and they would be crazy not to give us at least one scene.

While I'm not opposed to him using one, I've been one of the few who has kept the torch going that he won't use one in TLJ. Again, love to be proven wrong but still holding that theory.

Logically if he did use one, it might be in a flashback.

Well, that would be a loophole in my theory but it could happen.

I'd say I'm at 60% for Luke using his green lightsaber, based solely on the fact that I don't understand how anybody could think it's not a good idea to put it in the movie. It's the mother of all no-brainers. I'm 97% sure there will be an action scene for Luke, but it could be Force only... If he won't use lightsaber I will be VERY disappointed. This is the kind of fan service we need, as opposed to various cameos. If he has a new lightsaber I will be disappointed too (but less) because what's the point of that... Why not give us this RotJ connection.

It's funny how Anakin's is the legend in SW, yet we all love Luke's green saber and it was a mistake by Lucas that it was that color.

The green was intentional. They had a bunch of lightsaber stuff happening during the day and a blue lightsaber wouldn't work against a blue sky (like on the sail barge).

Speaking of that, an interesting thing from the past:

Revenge of the Jedi teaser with Luke's blue lightsaber and the deleted sand storm scene on Tatooine (and Obi-Wan ghost with no special effects, maybe fans in 1982 theorized that Obi-Wan could be back from the dead).

And the irony is that the first scene shot for Episode 6 was this sand storm scene:

they built a life-size Millennium Falcon just for this deleted scene.

I believe that this was while TLJ was being filmed.

    It is.

Seriously, who puts Resistance-important information inside someone's spine? When Finn didn't even have a spinal injury?

He was in 'The Sun' offices. The Sun is a British Newspaper, and Mark is currently in the UK right now. He was near my hometown last week being filmed as a guest on one of Jamie Oliver's shows. My guess is that this is very recent (take note that Mark is pretty slim in this video so it definitely isn't that old).

It's not the most ridiculous scifi premise I've heard of in the last year...

An implant like that would maybe have the patients chart on there:

Name of the doctor that installed it, the surgery date, the fabrication date of the implant, name of the hospital (or medical frigate). It might have a wifi connection so that it gets software updates. I'm just spitballing here but a spinal implant would likely have the ability to fix problems without physically accessing it again. They'd know what ship Finn, and by extension Leia, was on (and would be returning to). If you want to attack one person traveling in a fleet, knowing what ship they are on really helps making that mission more likely to succeed.

Even if it just has a serial number and fabrication location (a factory...say on an outer rim planet) that's pretty valuable info.

The sequel to TLJ is being "written" and directed by JJ.

I guess I know who just bought that ROTJ madlibs off ebay.

TLJ better be as original as everyone claims, because it's going to be the only original part of the ST.
