It's rumored Billie will have a slightly bigger role in VIII, so I am wondering if that will lead her into an even bigger role in IX.

 

I'm a bit surprised that no one has reacted to the /Film podcast about what some have thought of TLJ. Not because I posted the link but because of what the early reactions have been. I understand it's a few people and might not even be true but it's an interesting take on the film. After hearing the early "reviews" I'm more excited and encouraged by the direction Rian may be going.

 

Yeah, great find, ChrisI. I checked this out earlier, but didn't have time to comment. Very interesting. It surprised me how the guy in the podcast suggested he knows multiple people who saw the film - it sounds as if there was a secret way of getting to see it. But seriously, the quote itself sounds very encouraging. We've heard from the production people that TLJ is "different," but it's great to hear it confirmed by people who have actually seen it. As for the divisiveness - sure, I expect that. It can mean a whole lot good things for hardcore fans.

 

NinjaRen sent me the link yesterday before you posted it, so I had already discussed it.

Basically I'm not surprised, and expected all the good stuff they said, so my hype is pretty much the same as it always has been. I never lost any faith in Rian.

 

Honestly... I am a bit scared.
I don't feel the need of any big surprise when it comes to the Force lore or stuff like that.
Truth to be told, I believe GL's vision on this matter won't be touched.

And everything else (including Rebels and I guess you can understand what I'm talking about) is telling me
that's still the lore we're used to. You may dig onto it, you may add, but it won't change.

"We are the balance. We were meant to be Jedi so we could be here now, when Lothal needs us most."​

And this comes after a long run... people speculated a lot given what the show seemed to imply.

That said, it scares me.
I may understand and like something ambiguous (as Rebels was) in TLJ
before getting to know better what the Force really is, perhaps in IX.
But that's all I can take.

 

Can you post a link to the episode? I looked up the podcast, but didn't find any mention of Star Wars in their recent episodes.

 

Billie's part in TFA was an one liner.I can imagine that in TLJ will be a two liner.I dont think we can hope for more than that.

 

Possibly, but I think she has a little bit more of a bigger role than that.

JJ didn´t like some of the choices of Rian? I know it could be only PR, but didn´t JJ liked to where Rian was leading the story?

 

That was a misunderstanding. It seems the guy who saw it did not like some of the stuff Rian did, and is glad J.J is returning.
