General Star Wars - The Rise of Skywalker News and Rumors Thread

If a fan said it with a smile and not to mock; I think Hayden would be cool about it. I would love to just say, “Master Skywalker.”

I think we can all agree that there is very little respect towards actors in the SW fandom, more like fans claiming ownership of the actors' work and harass the actors when said work doesn't conform with the fan's personal taste and expectations. It's a sad affair, but I would expect about 95% fans to having no qualms about shouting lines at or demanding movie quotes from Hayden Christensen...

 

There are some lines that fans of any IP should try to respect. Case in point? I live in the NYC area and was walking down the sidewalk, talking with a friend. I looked ahead and saw one of the stars of Game of Thrones hailing a cab, at which point I said to my friend "Holy ****, it's XXXXXX!"

The actor heard me say that... probably because I was less than 10 yards away. And the eye roll ensued, which was understandable. Because this was not a public appearance. It was everyday life for him. And even more significantly he was with his kid getting into a taxi. Once I was able to take that in I made an apologetic gesture. It was his private time with his kid and I did not want to be a jerk and intrude on someone's time with their child.

That experience made me far more cognizant of how I might or should interact with an actor if I should happen across them (it can happen in NYC, where I've happened to see Star Wars actors like Liam Neeson just walking around). You can exchange a pleasantry and it might be a memorable exchange. But I think that there are some basic social boundaries that we might want to consider should we see someone like Hayden at a theme park with his family.

 

Star of Star Wars movies visits recently-opened Star Wars-themed resort just weeks ahead of the release of the final installment in the saga?
I'm sure he expected to be completely ignored...

Has anyone else noticed a theme with these 'leaked photos'? They're all blurry...

Pretty easily photoshopped. Anyone seen the reference image for Rey holding her saber like that?

 

The throne just looks like the force tree upside down.

Don't see that. But interesting. I always thought the tree was meant to organically mimic the Rebel symbol and the Jedi Order symbol.

 

It also has the Tree of Life symbolism found in Judaism, Christianity, and Platonism.

 

Background is just a still from the trailer, but flipped... yet Rey is wearing her arm bands on the correct arms so is not flipped.
For that reason, Id say it could possibly be a fake...

The Palpatine pic from last week had the throne from an angle we have not seen before, but with all the correct details, so therefore would have been much, much harder to fake.

Mr. Daniel’s words are so eloquent. I like how he compares proper criticism with toxicity; even mentioning his own complaints versus what can be found as never ending deluge of hate for TLJ on parts of the internet.
