How accurate have the spoilers been

You seriously don't get it. The critics don't mean anything. ANYTHING. I'm talking about the PUBLIC REACTION TO THE LEAKS BEING LEGIT! The audience for that is Reddit, Youtube, SWNN, etc. That is where the people that view leaks, talk about leaks. That's the people I'm talking about. They are disappointed.

 

And you deliberately went to places where you encountered disappointment, so you're 'biasing the result' by trying to use negative opinions as a baseline consensus.

 

So discussion forums is synonymous with disappointment now? I guess we are in one of those places right now. Sorry I 100% disagree with you. Hope you like the movie. Move along.

 

The few photos I've seen on reddit match exactly with the JP/MSW leaks. Right down to the color of a saber.

 

Just gonna wait to see the movie... then form my OWN opinion. Even though the leaks are true, there's still a difference between reading about it and seeing how it's executed on sceen.

 

That is where I am at too. I have been somewhat interested in reviews and scores but I can never tell how they are going to line up with me till I see it. I used to put a lot of stock in reviews but as I found my enjoyment of any given movie not necessarily lining up I stopped allowing my expectations to be as affected by them.

 

In general people who are dissatisfied tend to yell the loudest and take the time to post reviews more so then those who are satisfied that is why places like Reddit and YouTube are going to many times have a high percentage of negative reviews. It’s human nature. It happens in most spheres of life. People who eat at restaurants and have lousy service or crappy food are going to complain to the manager. However, people seldom seek out the manager to compliment good service or food.

Today’s society has also turned into an entitlement culture. It’s all me, me, me. If something doesn’t happen the way some people expect or desire then it automatically is no good or worthless.

 

The term "spoiler" is a misnomer and a gross mischaracterization of information regarding an item which was obtained in advance of it's release. From what I understand the information regarding TROS put out in advance of it's release has proven largely accurate. I've always been a fan of accurate advanced information regarding items I love, like Star Wars, calling such info "spoilers" is perverse. A long time ago somebody got out ahead of it and branded it terribly. Like sheep folks just regurgitated the erroneous term.

 

I'm not the most up-to-date on spoilers, but from what I have seen (Jason Ward mostly) the spoilers are pretty accurate. If you've let yourself get spoiled, you know a LOT going in. That said, the magic is all in the execution & presentation, and I... my mind being stupid and slow... found it pretty helpful to know in advance the major beats etc. It helped me consume and digest the story.

That said, there was at least one major character secret that I did not know about. A "small" thing in the grand scheme of things, but pretty big nonetheless. (Not that it was vital to the story, only that it dotted one of the many i's). Also, there was a cameo that I really liked that I didn't know about

All in all, I loved THE RISE OF SKYWALKER! I'm so glad I get to see it again in an hour-and-a-half

Ward had a few bits and pieces.
JediPaxis and the StarWarsLeaks subreddit had the whole plot outlined pretty much nailed a few months ago - I think these are probably the leaks most people will be referring to.

 

They are true... All of them... And I feel, contrary to what has been reported, that the whats and hows of Palpys return were adressed just fine. At least I found it to be clear as day. If you are going to start explaining everything in fine detail you are in B-movie territory. Here it was mentioned in such manner that it doesn't get too talkish for the casual moviegoer, and us diehards can/will be able to find out more about it through the novels and other stuff. The leaks can not add up to the scale and feel of the movie, and I was overwhelmed by it, and loved it. Some really cool cameos that the leaks never mentioned, however far off from the Jedi of promise Luke may have been in TLJ just as much the contrary he is here, we find out why the Sith Masters want their apprentices to kill them ( this was a rather cool thing in my opinion....)and at least for me this was the perfect end. But then again, that's just my personal taste and opinion.

 

I only read the Jedi Paxis leaks today after watching the movie but I think they missed a key thing of what happened to Ben/Kylo Ren at the end? Movie ending was so much more satisfying! I also don't get people who are outraged about Ben's fate; I thought it was a perfect redemption of his character.

 

Paxis added the Ben stuff in a recent sepatate update to the main plot outline...
