I think Snoke was a jedi before

this is interesting. i get a similar feeling. Snoke ain't making art with Kylo Ren. he could care less about Ren as a person. he's just using the raw materials as a means to his own end. controlling Ren keeps him purposeful to Snoke's cause while simultaneously minimizing him as a threat.

the moment Ren is capable of independent agency, he will cease to be useful and Snoke will want to eliminate him.

 

Yeah if Kylo was precious or really indespensible to him, then he would not have thrown him under the bus just like that. The moment Kylo showed Rey compassion and failed Snoke- Snoke wanted to trade him for her or let her eliminate him. I guess Snoke is done with him, isn't he?

 

i dunno that he's done with him. but i do think he knows it's time to put up or shut up so-to-speak in terms of weaponizing him against Luke. and if Kylo Ren self-destructs in the process, i'm sure Snoke won't shed any tears.

 

I saw a new Star Wars EP 8 video online where the poster claims in the "plot"(story), Kylo Ren studies under Bencio Del Toro's new evil character then they both turn on Snoke.

From what the video states(based on a possible early story leak), Snoke is injured but not fully destroyed. This video also says Snoke will be revealed as Sheev Palpatine NOT Darth Plaguis as most fans(me included) thought the story arc would go.
The plot goes that somehow Sheev P developed a powerful force barrier in the Death Star II shaft then escaped but he was gravely wounded.
