You twisted my words a little bit there. I didn't say it was an explicit lie - I said it feels like a lie. Watching Palpatine's arc in 1-6, from the rise in TPM and spectacular final fall in ROTJ - only for Disney to say, "Psych! He's back again." - yeah sorry, but that is indeed an F you.

    Well since you asked...
    • The Japor snipped Anakin gave Padme in TPM laid the groundwork to show in ROTS how important Anakin had been to Padme and what a tremendous loss had occurred
    • The trade dispute in TPM lays the groundwork for the Clone Wars, which lays the groundwork for the collapse of the Republic
    • Anakin's slaughter of the Tusken Raiders lays the groundwork for his obsession with revenge
    • Anakin's angst toward Obi-Wan in AOTC lays the groundwork for his betrayal in ROTS
    • AOTC and ROTS (and R1) laid the groundwork for the Death Star
    • Palpatine's actions as Senator laid the groundwork for him to become Chancellor, which laid the groundwork for him to get emergency powers, which laid the groundwork or him to become Emperor
    • The mysterious origins of the clones laid the groundwork for order 66
    • Anakin's failure to save his mother laid the groundwork for his desperation to do better with Padme - which laid the groundwork for his fall to the Dark Side
    • Anakin's failure to save his mother and Padme laid the groundwork for saving Luke to be part of his redemption
    • Freezing Han Solo in carbonite laid the groundwork for the entire first act of ROTJ
    • Luke's lack of patience and overeagerness to jump into action (leading to failure) in TESB lays the groundwork for ROTJ, where Luke demonstrates he has learned patience, and this is a critical part of his success

I don't know what "feels like a lie" means. I guess it means that you basically don't accept it as the truth that Palpatine could return, somehow. And I think you can only really speak for yourself about what you think Disney are saying to you.

They were already married. She had carried his children. The Japor doesn't explain nor is it required to set up anything in the plot.

Trade dispute with the TF. Who were defeated and apprehended. But "Psych!", that was just reset for AOTC. And a whole gallery of previously untold, and alien, belligerent factions pop up from nowhere.
Anakin wasn't obsessed with revenge. He tapped into his anger in that moment. And was slowly consumed by that anger. He was misled to believe that tapping into this "power" was the path to ensuring the longevity of those he fears to lose like he lost his mother. (Whom he was supposedly "too" attached to in the first place.)
Obi Wan was just another "enemy" standing in Vader's way of getting the power he sought. Like all the nameless younglings he murdered.

At worst, Anakin showed frustration and impatience with his "like a father" mentor.
But those happen within the films themselves. It's not like there's a change in Palpatine's status or occupation from film to film that's justified by foreshadowing in the previous film.
But by your logic Han should stay frozen though. No take backs.

None of those examples is any more worthy than the fact that Palpatine is depicted as obsessed with the power of immortality, dangling it in front of his new apprentice. And is the galaxy's biggest user of clones (Remember when he didn't have any clones or express any interest in them in TPM? But then "Psych", in the next movie he's got the biggest clone army ever that he's been secretly building for 10 years.)
