    What injuries did Kylo Ren sustain in his fight with Rey? I can't clearly recall what exactly happened to him physically and it's been bugging me all day...

    I'm gonna say that the concept art has a lot of cybernetics there, and I don't think (though it's certainly possible) that he'd need that much for his face. In fact, I was't initially picturing any cybernetics, just a really fat nasty scar.

    Maybe his obsession with Vader leads him to have body parts removed, like some people get hooked on plastic surgery. "I can rid myself of the light by cutting things off". Or maybe the completion of his transition involves getting the hell beat out of him. Perhaps the flashback scene of Rey is the future and the Ren that surround him are about to beat him down.

    I would think that the way that bowcaster was rocking stormtroopers, that it would be his biggest wound.

    What did everyone think about him punching himself? I feel like he was punching himself in his side where Chewie had shot him to get him hyped up and agnry for his fight with Finn. It made his character a little more....disturbing

    Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. Like certain people psyche themselves up by punching their own face etc.

    And yeah, it was disturbing, and very well acted by Driver.

    @C2P2; It reminded me of Mark Wahlberg punching himself in Practically Family. I imagine it was done to boost his adrenaline levels.

    I thought the bit when he was punching himself was some of the best acting in the entire film. It was very disturbing. The way I saw it was also him trying to psyche himself up but maybe also to use the pain to push himself further towards the dark side. He'd also just put a sabre through his own dad, he's bound to be a but messed up mentally after that so that may have played a part as well.

    Kylo Ren was mesmerizing each time he was on screen. So many great, subtle choices by Driver. Loved the part where Hux walks in on the dialogue between Snoke/Ren, and Ren has his mask off. You can see how uncomfortable Ren is unmasked in front of Hux. I really hope they don't change up Ren's physicality too much, because we may lose some of what makes him such a compelling villain.

    It looked more like a slash to his face so I can't imagine he's need that much cybernetics on his face. Is his helmet lost? I can't recall if he took it off in the lightsaber battle or showed up without it.
